I read this "With map making, you can trade maps with enthusiastic allies, or any AI civ that is worshipful."

Tried with my ally, but nothing happend on the map (Didn't turn, do I have to?). Tried it with Worshipful civ, but they said they didn't want my useless maps :-(

Any ideas? I'm pretty far into the civ 2 classic game (145BC). Is it because I'm becomming to powerfull?

With an ally if you already have the same maps all you see is where thier units are, and with a worshipful civ you may need to give them tech, because even if they like you they may be so far behind you they need some woo-ing and conjoleing, happened to me several times.

Man, I'll tell you, that can be a pain. Most of the time, I just forget about worrying about the unknown part of the map and conquer it when I need to. Your best bet would be to shoot for Flight, but I'm sure you're doing that anyway. Trading maps seems to be a lot easier early in the game, as you get closer to 1AD, the AIs really seem to start to clam up. Good luck, dude.

I never trade maps, unless with human player I trust completely. And there are SO many of those.

Though wrong many times, I don't think the advance of Mapmaking has anything to do with the ability to begin trading of maps. <IMG SRC="http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/smokin.gif" border=0>
