No, fortunately we're not even close to the end of the Greek alphabet. Epsilon is the fifth letter, and there are 24 letters in ancient Greek. We'd have to have 19 tropical storms in December to reach Omega (the record for December is two).

Nah, it's forecast to head to the south and miss the Azores completely. Still, it's a fairly remarkable system, becoming this strong this late and defying all the forecasts projecting it to weaken.

I second the migration to Minnesota. We have plenty of land, water, and large malls to support people. All you need to do is be happy with single digit temperatures for a fourth of the year and we're good.
