Tuning Autocracy

Then I don't get the names for the ideologies.
I agree that "order" is not the best name, but if you look at tenets names :
Communism, Great leap forward, Cultural Revolution, Five year plan, Nationalisation, Party leadership, Dictatorship of the proletariat,...
It clearly show that "order" is supposed to mean "URSS" and "China".
(Troll : maybe they should have named the ideologies "Autocracy, Plutocracy, and Burocracy")

I'd also like to point out that Liberalism and Capitalism aren't tied together
Sorry, by Liberalism I meant "Laissez-Faire", weak state, economy on its own. Capitalism (pure, raw or radical) is the extreme of laissez-faire in my book. (Note that not a single ideology has been applied in its pure form, and self called capitalist countries might not be it so much).

Let's not try to mesh the real world with the game too much

I agree we don't need to replicate real life to make a game. But that stroke me that one ideology was so focused on war. As you correctly pointed, going to war for no really good reason, that's imperialism (or jingoism). We already have a social tree for this.

For ideologies, the great ideas at the time were: Nationalism (people should be ruled by their kin, states should care for its own people first), Socialism (people should have control of means of production, states care for the working class and defenseless citizens) and Capitalism, call it Freedom if you like (growing economy is best for people, so states should care for private bussiness and country wellfare). Adding 'Imperialism' to the ideology results in Fascism, Communism, ...

So, while I agree for Freedom ideology working best for great people (individualism) and worse for warfare (not good for bussiness), I'm not so fond of Autocracy being so focused on war (that was Imperialism work, IMO). Nationalism should work best for social costs and worse for trade. Socialism should work best for population size and worse for budget.

I feel it a bit weird that one ideology tries to replicate URSS and China, and other ideology replicates the Third Reich and Imperial Japan, with only a loose link to ideologies. Autocracy (one person rules with supreme powers) and Order (what the hell does this mean? Moralism?) are also weird names for what they want to describe. Were Cuba and URSS not autocratic states?

But we are not remaking ideologies in any way. So all this was just for saying.

maybe they should have named the ideologies "Autocracy, Plutocracy, and Burocracy"
LOL. Yeah, ideology=who should rule: one leader, the rich, or the clerks.
