Turn 145 - 290 AD

It seems that unless we rush settler and set sail on a galley somewhere or just walk up north, this will be the last turn. Might be walking away is not an option since we will be caught and rather soon.

Fanatica - 290 AD

Battle Log - East Point Theatre

3/3 galley attacks 3/4 CDZ Galley; loses (CDZ Galley 1/4)
4/4 Swordsman attacks 4/4 GS; loses (GS 3/4)
5/5 AC attacks 3/4 GS from East Point; WINS (PROMO: now 6/6)
5/5 AC attacks 4/4 GS from East Point; WINS (PROMO: now 4/6)

The rest is just set-up........

1. Two road tiles en route to East Point pillaged to slow GS advance --- 8 GS spotted 2 tiles NE of Khazad Dum
2. All units but one staged for ambush next turn
3. Immediate coastline around East Point guarded

Forgot to get the screenshot of our ever-closing world, but here's how the turn was introduced:

After this discovery, we were losing 38gpt. Which meant we could possibly lose 2 units next turn. Therefore I needed to take a drastic measure to save gold (and troops). Ladies and gentlemen, Fanatica is in Anarchy.

If legal action is necessary for this unilateral decision, then I understand and welcome it. I am only trying to keep us alive.

Our lone city of East Point has taken measures to keep from rioting. Notice the C3B Galley to our north.

Finally, here is the Northern Theatre. After much thought, I figured we should go ahead and land. However, we have a near equal number of Immortals awaiting our arrival.

I figured it best to land our troops closer to Fortaleza and hope for the best. Placing them near Recife would have been a bigger risk, since C3B could just send those Morties into the city and attack from there.

EDIT: I goofed with our AC, thinking he could get full movement if dropped off in neutral territory. He's certainly a goner....... :(

IMPORTANT!

I am sending the save to the MSDG email account, since I lost access to the MSDG account. Can someone please send the save along to C3B, as well as distribute it to our team members?

Thanks! :)

Here's a movement map based on Rik's opening turn screenie. It's a bit cryptic, but the main things are:

1. Only one of our units can get attacked in this region next turn
2. We have the immediate coastline blocked near East Point
3. Our galleys south of East Point are positioned to ambush the C3B/CGN Galleys should they decide to come this way.

Well, after seeing the screenshots. All I can say is "were doomed" - C3PO.

How on earth could we be destroyed the next turn? No-one can reach our capital before that... :hmm:

Yay, let's see how the CoG plan works.

And let's see how long we'll manage to protect ourselves from the GS & MW onslaught...

I'd say disband units so that there is enough production to finish a settler next turn, and indeed make sure there is no surplus of food. Too bad they will notice we have a settler though.

But first kill those Gallic Swordsmen.

SECONDED!!

GREAT NEWS!

I forgot that C3B gets skipped this turn, which means that Fortaleza should be ours. Does anyone have the admins adress?

Sorry, guys. Remember this poll? For those who missed it, the dishonorable route lost 14-7. ;)

Depending on how Fortaleza is defended, we may get to land our units within 2 tiles of the C3B capital of Rio! Or we can pillage all roads to Fortaleza and just bunker down.

How well do you think Rio is defended? Do you think all of their units are on the perimeter? Should we try for a moral victory of capturing and razing the C3B capital? Or bunker down in Fortaleza to pick off slow Immortals until the neighbors show up?

Go for Rio.

Burn Fortaleza.
