Taj: I really don't think anyone else is building it, or will beat us to it. I'm not against delaying it, but I don't mind if we don't delay it either.

Civics changes: With a MoM extended GA, we should be able to pull off more than one civics change, and should plan accordingly.

Switching to Vassalage + Theo makes sense if we are building units everywhere. If we are building mostly buildings stick with OR.

Switching to Representation and CS are good ideas if we are going to run specialists. Are we running specialists? My concern with switching from Slavery to CS if we aren't also switching to US is that we giving the ability to rush units. That is not really a good idea during a war. Do we have enough WS to make CS worthwhile? We have Guilds and Chemistry now which make WS a far better improvement.

I would not switch to Mercantilism. Look at our cities. We are getting substantial income from foreign trade routes. And Amazon is currently researching Economics. I would wait and switch to Free Market when that becomes available. Mercantilism is not worth it for the free specialist.
 
I don't think, that anybody 'll attack our land, so we don't need whipp guards; additional we don't need HR for luck.
I would like to push some high-XP units, 9 XP-Curas with 1 vic 10 XP so **,amphi, so 11 turns with theo and vasall. After that I don't know what is best, we see then, what is what. Die center 'll be MM-free then (in few turns imo/hope). Rep without merca get us 6 to 9 :science: for some money.
 
Should we try to get "The Plague" or focus on the Island?
 
It would be best to grab up as much as we can rather than leave it for our allies who we will some day be forced to fight as well.
 
The situation, 1.5 hours before the new turn, is that Mav wiped all the Quat forces, but they seem to abandone Bubble to concentrate on the plague.

If our Cuirassiers will be not too damaged we can probably try for that too. Ama stacks can be beaten ny fast units.

In any case, no worries about Copper, Mav do not have units around.
 
Alright, good news, finally!

Bombarded with the frigate, then suicided the soon obsolete cats to reduce Copper's defenders to dust. Took it with Maces and 2 cuirass. The city came with granary, to enforce my proposal to keep it.

Let's see how Ama will move their stacks and how Mavs will react, but i think we can even try for Bubble.

Our first GG popped in Sirius, i quickly loaded him on Ironside to ferry him around Copper, to join our 6XP cuirass (C1+M1), to be promoted to M2, M3 and Morale.

I also loaded and unloaded our units (mace, cuir, LB) on Copper. Unfortunately i misclicked on a empty EI, stacked with the loaded one and it's now on Copper.

Then i finished and started some planned job with the workers.
BTW what was that worker out of Rigel BFC doing? i moved him to road the tile where he is now.

There's still the GS and we don't know how to use him.
 
That worker was chopping, if the forest is gone then he's done his job anyways.

BTW that was at Husch's suggestion.

Also good work on securing Copper city, we should considering renaming it, I would like to stick to Star names but if you can think of something better go for it.

EDIT: Oh I think we should settle the GS or build an Academy, I think the consensus is to wait to bulb a different science then Sci Method.

I say focus on the island, although I'm not sure our forces are numerous/powerful enough ATM. Lets not streach ourselves any further on the mainland until we decide who comes after Mavericks.
 
I've been arguing for Quat to be next after Mavericks. We have a Nap with Amazon until 1500ad.
 
Sooner or later we'll go after Quat and Bubble can be strategic on this regard.

If we can take and hold it, i propose to go for it.

As i said, much will depend on the other players moves on this turn.

Ahh and we need a road to Copper, since the sea route is blocked by Mavs culture.
 
Apparently Quat have used their Great Artist, I don't know where or how but Miles Davis is gone.

Since the Frigate isn't spawnbusting, I upgraded Rigel's archer to Cross, whipped so we can at least build a spawn busting unit to send up to the top of the spire. It's annoying to have to deal with Barb units.

1. next turn we are in GA and change civics from orga to theo, then the overflow of buildings are better.
Alpha if you slave with orga and then get the overflow with theo you get 1 sixth :hammers: more. Perhaps you can post your intention before you are doing it.

2. What is the reason for moving the spy there? Now we need 2 turns to get infos about the Mav-tiles between bubbles and plague.

I think we see a war CDZ ag Quat first we see this turn 5 Quat frigates and the research of CDZ, they research demo in 8 turns, Quat steel without any :science: (only the minimal 1).

Sorry I wasn't going for overflow in Rigel, I was just trying to be proactive and ensure none of our improvements get destroyed by a barb.

Can be a good idea to message our allies about the tech situation?
I' d like to ask Quat in how many turns they plan to have Steel.

And what they think abouyt the tech we can have from Lib, maybe remembering them we took almost all the weight of research, mainly on the Lib path.

Quat's stat says they will have Steel in 4157 turns. So they are probably stacking up gold.

I know, it's why i'm proposing to ask them.
 
Our allies play the cards close to their face. We decide our best, not the best for the other. And steam is our best, additional the most expensive we can get.

I don't know a spy prevent spawning of barbs. Imo an unit with fight-possibility can this 2 tiles in every direction. Additional a barb there would good experience for the units there.

I don't want Plague or Bubble; both are near the Quat coast and not good to defend against there attack. Ama or Quat can destrroy or cature them, Ama best.
 
Who said anything about putting a spy at the top of the spire? I put in for a Musketman 4 turns. Although technically a spy or scout could spawnbust anyways, even a lowly wb could. It just all depends if a Barb has spawned there or not.

I moved our spy to the Ama Elephant stack, and I messed up the civic, switched to Caste. I thought I could put it right back but apparently there's this wait 5 turns which I didn't expect to happen in a GA.

My knowing about the discussion is not total, I know only that:
Blub want a super medic and i like some amphi curas (better a lot of) for attack of Mavs isle.

My vote
We get 9 XP-Curas with 10 XP there are 3 promotions **amphi. So we get with the general 20.
A good chance to attack Mavs land is bomb with frigates and then attack.

Alpha has choose rifling as next tech rifling. Cavs 'll be better than curas, it's clear.
But with 4-5 turns without XPs, I would like lib now and steam to build then in few turns dikes. So we make the best from the mistake. Perhaps it can be turned to good. In Ga is the effect of dikes better than all.
I think that is what we must doing now.
