Peter Grimes will be joining Team Piffle. My membership to Epsilon Team has already been revoked
I know it's frustrating, but I may ask for a couple of days extension so I can get a handle on Piffle's game
But hopefully this means the game will start moving again by next week

Aloha needs some time to discuss this. We will not play till we can discuss this. Speaking for only myself I feel this is wrong and will probably quit the game due to it.(in which case Aloha may retire.)
Its sorta like having a former player in a pitboss game take over another civ. Its unfair to the remaining teams. Now since peter has seen the Piffle forums he cant go back to Epsilon and must sit out. there is no undoing the damage done.
The very fact that you posted a sad smilie after your statement shows where your loyalties lie.

Peter originally proposed this idea back on April 18th.
Why didn't you (or anyone) ever saying anything against this idea if you felt so strongly about it?
Peter has promised to play honorably, and for what it's worth, We've started discussions in Epsilon on how to protect ourselves from the attack we expect it's likely Peter will launch against us.

Honestly...never thought to post since Piffle hadn't made a decision. Out of the blue the turn gets played then we get an announcement of Peters move. Piffle had said they were going to vote to continue and expect a decision soon.
I am done... unless someone posts in Aloha that they want to play then you will need to get Peter to play both Aloha and Piffle or get someone else. We would not allow this in a pitboss but we allow it now so Epsilon can have an end game. I said I would continue this game if the majority wanted to under the feeling of fair play but then this very action goes against fair play in every sense.
We have changed the rules midway through the game(upgrade) so why not just let fair play go out the window all together. Each team seems to be down to about 2 people each not counting Epsilon so I doubt many will care if this goes away. We had rules in place that have been violated. being a member of two teams while the other team is active.. SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ALLOWED.
As of now...no one has responded in Aloha's forum. Last vote on stay or retire was 100% retire. My own believe that we should follow the majority and play an honorable game was all that stopped that from happening. Now this happens and the game is no longer honorable, its tainted. Therefore I will not be a part of a giant waste of time in order for Epsilon to have a victory.

Are you sure you’re not being a little dramatic Rob? Does the change of players at Piffle really effect Aloha’s prospects that much? This game has just passed two years old and we’ve had two new players join this week. Why the rush all of a sudden to end it?
I’ll suggest again that Epsilon expedite victory so that we can have a record of completing MTDG’s rather than just letting them die.

You are deeply mistaken, Robboo, if you think a Piffle attack at any point over the last 20+ turns would have come as a surprise to us, or have caught us unprepared.
My comment above was merely pointing out that Peter knows the steps we've taken to defend ourselves for when/if Piffle goes sideways on us, and we therefore need to adjust. Though truth be told, I think our long standing plan to stop a Piffle backstab will be more than sufficient without any modification to stop anything Peter comes up with. But maybe that's just hubris talking.
So pretty much the way I see it, the consequences of Peter's move to Piffle are:
#1) The game moves again
#2) Epsilon is in a worse position with knowledge of our force disposition now leaked to Piffle.
I'm really failing to see which of those 2 points has you all upset.
But at any rate - I'd appreciate it if you didn't try to cast blame on Epsilon as if we've done something wrong by simply wanting to see this game finished. Don't most people prefer to actually play a game to the end?
I know the rules don't allow for someone to switch teams - but let's face it: the rules also mandate a 24 hour turn around time for the saves. When that rule went out the window we all started grasping at straws to save the game.
The Peter switch option seemed like a good way to save the game that only potentially hurt Epsilon (and we were ok with that) - and everyone that posted about it over 2-3 weeks posted favorably. I hope we can all be forgiven for thinking there were no objections.

The save is with Piffle, not Aloha. As stated before*, I will be playing Monday morning.

Then perhaps I should take Robboo up on his suggestion that I join Aloha as well? That may be the only way to keep this game moving forward 
My apologies for the delay in responding to this. I don't have the opportunity to log into CFC as much as I used to.
There were only 2 people that objected to the idea of turning Piffle over to the AI. They were Robboo and Killercane. Accepting Peter Grimes' gracious offer seemed like a good compromise. It would get the game started again and keep the AI out of the game. At the time, I thought it was the right thing to do. In my haste, though, I probably should have vetted the idea a bit more. My apologies to all for failing to do that.
I don't know if this will be of any consequence to Robboo or any of the others, but I did exchange some PM's with Peter before the decision was made. He clearly understood that the move would be permanent. And for what its worth, I did get the impression that he intended to play the save honorably as a member of Piffle.
I think Robboo makes a valid point. I had originally thought that Piffle and Epsilon were the only 2 teams that would be affected by this move. As I didn't post anything in this thread, the other 2 teams may have felt that it was unnecessary to comment. Honestly, I probably would have done the same thing in Robboo's position.

As noted, the save is with Aloha. I knew that you would need some time to get up to speed, so I went ahead and played the save before you joined the team.

I will be honest here. I am down to me and one other reply so far in our forum. One other thing that just came to my attention is that in 3 weeks my time will severely be limited due to work changes and day care arrangements..instead of 10 hours from when I leave till I return it will be more like 11 or 12. So even if I stay playing by May 19 Aloha may need to have a new turn player. None are forth coming as of now.

Killercane mentioned to me in a PM that he hoped to be able to come back into the game at some point, once things settled down with his new baby. As of right now, though, he is unable to participate in any of our discussions. I'm currently where you're going to be in 3 weeks ... just totally snowed under. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to log into CFC to participate in any of our discussions, let alone play the save on a regular basis. We've also got Furiey, but she is unable to open the save. And Whomp has had very little free time since becoming a mod.
We really don't have anyone able to play the save, which is why I was going to turn it over to the AI. My other option, of course, was to turn it over to Peter. I realize that I put you into a difficult position with that decision. And for that, I sincerely apologize. In my haste to get things posted and the save played, I did not get all of the bases covered. That was my fault!
FWIW I really do believe that Peter will play the save honorably. He seems to be making a genuine effort in our forum to get a handle on all things Piffle. Which is quite a daunting task when you consider that not everything has been documented. I'm hoping maybe we can give him the benefit of the doubt over the next 3 weeks. Maybe after that time we can reassess how things are going, not only at Piffle but also at Aloha ...

Well then just lie down and allow to have our way with your troops. If that is the best way for Aloha to continue. Failing that, we might need another player from Epsilon to jump ship.

However it is what it is... I give Innovia 8 turns unless the RNG has a heart attack on us.
That said 8 turns could be 3 months

OK guys... I am going to stick it out for a while as long as I am able. My honor just cant let me quit. While this situation is less than ideal, I know the end should be near BUT that being said I will do my best to drag this out. 
My team is down to me only I think....one person responded with a simple...."Retire" statement. I ask a wee bit of flexiblity in turns since I being the only person around have to carry the turn playing. I will try to step it up in playing. I really want this game to end so we can move on to BTS. I like this concept of game play and hope it continues.
