EDIT: I'd imagine that's just a straight change to the promotions themselves? (Don't want to wait to test this, and I'm already knee-deep in Python/XML porting changes to Fall Flat...)

The avatar comes from the new leader... I had to learn how to add leaders and I learn while doing!

I like the change. I want my archmagi to be masters of all trades. If only there were more interesting spells than summon fire elemental. I'll take it for the sake of completeness though.

Just a quick note on Govannon...playing FF 050, patch G...and he's getting his .3 or so xp a round from his spell sphere promotions but *not* getting the 1 xp per turn from the Hero promotion. Bug? Intention? I checked the FF and FfH changelogs but didn't see him mentioned besides the art update.
