Whenever I try the conquest senarios it always crashes after I win. It goes through the various screens after I win but after the playback it crashes. I haven't played them all but mesopotamia as Egypt, fall of Rome as Huns, Napolionic Europe as France(twice, cuz they're so fun to play) and Prussia and age of exploration as Maya and Portugal all crashed right after the playback?
Anyone know what's up with that?
Also in any game browsing through the civilopedia randomly crashes the game. Why's that?

Possibly you have a write-protected file in your Civ3 directory. I think that file is the CampaignRecord.hof file. If that file is write protected, then the game will crash.

What OS are you playing on?

:dunno: Might want to keep track of what happens just before you hit the civilopedia entry. It's possible your civilopedia is corrupt. Reinstalling might help.

Alright! Thanks, that fixes the problem, I can finally win! :thanx:
As for the other problem I dunno either it's very random it'll crash after selecting an entry then after reloading the entry is fine. I did just re-install civ due to an unrelated screw up on my part, maybe that'll fix it?
P.S. your avatar is awesome, I think I like Achmed better though, he'll kill me if I don't...

Glad it worked for you.

My kids like Achmed too. I used to find him annoying, but he's getting better with it.

My kids will also tell you that I'm just like Walter....
