well, after several months sans-Civ3 here i am again, and presented with some problems:

(1) each time i DL and install a patch it seems to work wonderfully and functionally overwrites the previous version. if i go into "Add/Remove Programs," however, there is a seperate listing for each version of Civ3 i have (Civ3 v1.0, Civ3 v1.16f, Civ3 v1.17f). what gives? am i going to mess anything up by removing the older versions, or does the patch work on this "stacking" effect?

(2) is v1.21 even worth my time to DL? it seems to concentrate heavily on fixing up the editor, and given that i don't use the editor that much and the number of crash problems i've heard about, i'm a bit wary. what should i do?

thanks everyone,
adam

You probably will need to reinstall the latest patch if you uninstall the old patches.

Definitely install v1.21! It fixed a stack movement bug (among other things) and you'll need it to play the GOTM or open saved games from other people (ex. HOF). :)
