Bozo, you're partially right. No one person is indispensable to the point that a nation cannot go on without them. However, there are from time to time great men and women who come along that truly shine. Why indeed should we not be allowed to let them serve for the betterment of our nation for as long as the citizenry wants them?
Well, you can always vote for the man's wife a few years down the line.

 I think I'll pass!

I think the divide we're all hitting is this. There is the one side that likes the governments which take care of the citizenry, social programs and so forth. Then there is the other side which prefers personal responsibility and freedom at the cost of less government protection (interference, actually). I'd rather have the choice to vote for a President who turns out to be crappy after a couple of good terms, than be told I cannot vote for the person at all.

Struth! But theres more to it than that. What you and Prince are overlooking is that the people are never allowed to have whatever they want, in any thing, least of all government. There are limits to everything, like limits to how fast you can drive, or limits to free speech. Thats why there are also limits to how many times an individual can be elected President.

Because there are limits doesn't mean there should be ;)
