[OOC - since no one seems to be joining anymore, might as well make the Trinity Alliance my own fair-play nation! Don't worry, combat is still random as always, and the TA will only interfere in big conflicts, or unfair ones.]
Prince Alexander glanced around the room, daring someone to disagree with him.
"The war must be brought to an end." agreed Juan Carlos, President of Spain.
"Yes, it must. Skirmishes occur all the time, but all out war is a most devastating event." President of Greece, Justin Daniels spoke.
"I think we shouldn't intervene in this war." President Marc Anthony of Egypt was the one to disagree with the Prince.
"But Sweden must be taught that when peace is offered on reasonable terms, it must be accepted!"
"I will not sign the authorisation for war, but you may begin a skirmish if you must." Marc spoke firmly.
"I have an idea that may bring Sweden to her knees, and force her to accept peace." Alexander grinned.
He glanced at his troop deployments. Each nation in the Alliance contributed troops to a regular AFTA army, and would donate extra in a crisis. Even at full mobilisation, the arrangement left enough troops at home for each nation to be able to defend themselves. As was traditional, while he had tabs on every person so he would know which nation to send the letters of condolences to, the men in AFTA only wore AFTA uniforms, no insignia denoting what nation in the Trinity Alliance they were from.

He sighed, knowing that some of these men would die in the fight.
Sweden had three months(OOC - by Wed.'s orders) to declare peace in South America, and return to the pre-war lines, or face the full mobilised might of AFTA.
He knew it was a gamble, but he hoped for a return to the times when it was just skirmishing along borders, not these horrific wars that cost so many men and leave nations defenceless against others.
The Trinity Alliance's close neighbour, South Africa, had been weakened in such a way by supporting Sweden, who hadn't send enough air cover to defend the South African troops, who had to rely on their own air force to defend them. And with South Africa not being a major air-faring nation, their troops had been hit hard from the air.
Now he had plans in his desk for an attack on South Africa, due to it's weakness. He never knew if it would be put into practice or not. He hoped it wouldn't. But if it did, the plan included invading South Africa, splitting it three ways between the Trinity Alliance nations, giving each an extra 25 gold each.
Then Madagascar, south of the French part, would be split between other nations to prevent them attacking the Trinity Alliance in revenge.
He shook his head clear of those thoughts. He didn't want to attack an old ally, not even for money.
