Ultimate exploit for FfH2 032i

I didn't check if the AI would attack me or not, in general I have a hard time setting up a simple scenario where I know the AI will try to attack my city. I suppose I could set an AI AutoPlay game to run for a while and HOPE that when it comes out of it I am at war with another Civ and losing (thus they are poised to attack one of my cities and I know they'll try to strike it).

I'd say it was probably coincidence though. Since you were at war with them, they wouldn't attack your city until they thought they could take the city. When you were at peace though, that same animal wasn't guarded by a city of other troops, it was just a lone Barbarian (to the AI's eyes).

More than once I couldn't conquer enemy cities because they had a HN Nightwatch defending it, and I could not attack anyone in the city.

I've never had this happen to me. How long has this been true for you? And do you have any modmods?

I have different experience - a few times I lost a unit exploring an open-border AI when I stupidly ordered him to go to the city which had Nightwatch in it. My unit attacked and died.

well that's perfectly normal heh... but the problem arises when you are at war with that civ.

If I remember well, since the version with City of Thousands Slums in at least. And no I didn't use modmods.

It didn't happen to you, or you just didn't run in such a situation ?

Im also unfamiliar with this and my HN units get jumped all the time, but people Im at war with or not. Im wondering if for some reason your units got charmed. Thats the only thing I can think of that would have caused an issue like this.

Wrong thread. Sorry.

Both. Nightwatches are almost always lurking around in at least one of the opposing empires during a game, same as the giants. And the nightwatch at least always fortifies some random city, and I've not had any problems taking them out.

nope, I remember one of these situations very well because it disappointed me quite a bit: I was playing Sabathiel and was at war with Rhoanna (founder of CoE), I conquered some of her cities until I got to this particular one which also had a Nightwatch in it, and I couldn't attack it with any unit, so I conquered all cities around it but they were being overwhelmed by this city's culture, and I couldn't think of anything to take that accursed city, which pissed me off (I tried many times in different turns and with different units to see if I could attack ;) I probably didn't try with a HN unit though, I suppose I would be able to attack). I remember witnessing this in at least another game but I wasn't really interested in taking that particular city so I didn't bother much. These episodes were with older versions than the last, I will try to reproduce the event though.

Soudns good man. If you get a save of the issue I'd love to check it out.
