The day began normally for the team. However, after the end of their day they were interrupted by a fire alarm going off. Further investigation revealed that it had been set off in response to a robot wreaking havoc in the engineering department, and the various memebers of the team raced off to intervene. A short fight resulted in the unfinished robot being quickly destroyed, and the majority of the team fled to avoid discovery. Nightrender on the other hand, walked out to announce his victory to the emergancy services arriving on the scene, before flying off. Various sections of the robot were removed by Tesla for further investigation, although so far it has revealed little.

Super Incident: University Attacked!

The St. Whosit University was the scene earlier this afternoon of the first super-related incident in the past two years. Not long after the end of the day, a Fire Alarm emptied the campus there. As firefighters arrived on the scene, they were met by a pair of masked men claiming they had 'taken care of things', before flying away. Further investigation revealed that parts of the university engineering department had been wrecked, and numerous projects damaged or destroyed. Analysis of the scene reveals that parts of these projects may have been stolen, and police are urging anyone with further information to come forward.

So you know how I didn't have a plot for this game? You managed to go off the rails already regardless. You managed to go off rails that I didn't even have. That is how crazy that last mission was. I hope you're all pleased with yourselves. :p Next mission probably this Friday, 10 PM my time, as always.

My massive write up:

Spoiler :
"Dammit, it's hot," James muttered, walking out into the courtyard. The sun was beating down, and his arms were slick with sweat a mere two minutes after leaving the air conditioned history classroom. "I need to sit down," he said to himself, scanning the scorching yard for an empty bench. Sighing with relief, one was vacant to his left, underneath a shaded tree no less. Taking a seat, he pulled out a water bottle, drinking deeply and looking to see who his neighbor was.

The girl was deeply entranced in her music, which seemed to be some sort of electronic funk. "Uggh," he mumbled, saddened by her poor choice in music.

"Excuse me?" she said, turning to examine him. Despite his first impression, she was actually rather pretty, albeit in an exotic manner.

"That's what I thought," she replied, smiling dangerously.

"Uhh, yeah...." James took another drink, before leaning back and starting his homework. "Nice day, don't you think?"

"Yes," she replied absently.

"Ummm..." James paused, not wanting to be awkward. "I'm going to go now." Dammit, he was awkward.

"Okay. See ya' around."

"Yeah..." He stood up, rather awkwardly, and walked to his motorcycle. Climbing on, he drove to the local McDonald's, his stomach rumbling. Tired, he sat down next to his roommate, Roberto. "What'd you get?"

"Double counter pounder. Delicious." The Italian was clearly savoring every bite.

"Cool." James watched as he finished the burger, then rose and walked to the line. It was short, as 2:45 was not prime time for lunch, and he soon reached the front. Having no idea what to get, he stood for a while, inspecting menu.

"Excuse me?" James was startled out of his thoughts. He turned to the speaker, and recognized the girl from the bench.

"Yes... Sorry, I didn't catch your name," he said, turning toward her.

"Zora. And I was wondering what a 'Big Mac' is."

James looked at her strangely, uncertain how someone couldn't know what a Big Mac was. "It's a... Are you messing with me?"

"No! I'm just not from around here." She looked defensive.

"Um, okay." He turned back to the menu, uncomfortable. "It's a burger with some sort of mayo-tasting special sauce. It also has a lot of toppings." He squinted, reading the entry. "Tomatoes, pickles, onions, and such."

"Oh, cool. Thanks." She turned back to the line, ignoring him once more.

He turned back as well, ordering a double burger. He had taken his first bite, when he nearly dropped it. A loud, piercing noise tore through the restaurant, hurting James' ear.

"What the hell is that?!?" James yelled, joining many others in their outrage.

Zora turned to him, raising her voice to be ears over the blare of the sirens. "I don't know. I think it's coming from the university."

Be smooth. BE SMOOTH. "I, um, have to go. Again. Now." That's not very smooth...

"Okay?" She looked at him oddly, but he was gone before she could say anything more. Finishing his burger, he leapt onto his motorcycle, racing to the school.

Jumping off, he reentered the courtyard, scanning for the source of the noise. It was loud in the McDonald's, on the otherwise of campus. Here, it was unbearable, burning into his ear lobes. "Fire?" he screamed, asking no one in particular.

"I think so," Roberto said, appearing next to him.

"Why did they make the fire alarm so LOUD?" James said, half angry and half annoyed.

"Safety...?" Roberto responded weakly. "I don't know. It's rather annoying."

"Yea-" He paused. "What the hell is that?" he asked, pointif to a prone form on the ground.

"I... Don't... Know." Roberto looks closer, examining the boy, as it was clear now it was a boy. "I think he's... Sleeping."

"Huh." James contemplated it for a moment, before shrugging. "He was probably really tired."

"I don't think so..."

"Yeah, whatever." He stood still for a while, staring at the body. Suddenly, James collapsed, his knees buckling as the ground shook.

"What was that?" Roberto exclaimed, still standing.

"I have to go..." He walked away quickly, ensuring not to run, and went into a bathroom. Pulling his mask out of his bag, he slipped it on, and concentrated, seeing his body disappear before his eyes.

James ran down the hall, bursting through a door and coming out into a classroom, seemingly a physics room. Jumping a desk (it's good to have superpowers), he ran into another room, then out into a new hall. Sticking to the sides, he muttered "Shade," watching as his shadow hardened into a solid being, and stood up. It had taken the form of a heavyset man, which James guessed mocked his fastfood splurge he'd had recently.

"Very funny," James whispered. "Now go investigate." Shade nodded, stealing of down the hallway. James blinked, and the form vanished, only the soft pad of footsteps reminding, though those too faded before long. Unwilling to wait around, he continued moving down the hallway after Shade, heading towards the stairs. The beeping of the alarm still remained, so James let off a little Darkness, creating earplugs. "That's better," he mumbled.

He nearly fell over in fright when Shade materialized right next to him. Without waiting for him to recover, the shadow pointed downwards, then motioned around. "The building is falling down?" No, that didn't make sense. Shade walked up to him, pointed at the ear plugs, then at him. "Superpowers? Superheroes?" Shade shook his head at the first, but nodded emphatically at the second. Once more, he looted downwards. "The heroes... Are downstairs?" Nodding, Shade reattached as his shadow.

The pair made their way down the corridor, checking in random windows as they went. The entire building was deserted, and the only noise was crashes, emanating from the rooms, born of the tremors running through the institution. Finally, they reached the top of the stairs. James removed his ear plugs, shored up his invisibility, and started down the steps.

As he worked his way down, the noises grew louder, growing deafening. James wished he hadn't removed his plugs, but he needed all his senses alert for... Whatever he found down there.

"What was that?" James heard a voice call out in the darkness. "I thought.. Someone bumped into me."

"I didn't," voices called out in the darkness.

Sighing, James uttered a word, and his inivisibility peeled back. "It was me."

"Super?" the masked man asked.

"Yep."

"Let's do this." The guy, his body changing to become brighter, was in a group of three others. A clear rip-off of Iron Man led the charge, backed by a flaming girl and a man with arms coated in fire. The five of them came out into a large workspace, inhabited by... a giant robot.

"What the f**k?" James yelled, startled by the massive humanoid shape. It seemed to be making a... mini robot. Or something else. He couldn't quite tell, as the thing was moving quickly, and the pile it was creating of parts wasn't exactly in the best order. Scattered around were various workbenches, littered with half finished projects and destroyed engineering assignments.

"Well, it's a giant robot," said Irony drily, before lighting it up with dual wrist-mounted lasers. The being stumbled, before swatting the suited man aside. Laughing, the massive vaguely bestiality hero rammed the robot, sending it stumbling further back. More supers burst in, but James didn't wait for them to strike. Forming a dagger of Darkness, he dug it into the left side, exposing wires and panels. The effort nearly forced him to his knees, and he retreated, going back out into an ante-chamber. Resting for a moment, he decided to close his eyes. Before long, he was asleep.

C-R-A-S-H

A metal head appeared in the wall above him, waking him violently. "GAH!" he screamed, terrified. He lashed out, encasing the head in Darkness. The effort exhausted him, but he wobbled out into the main room, dispelling the prison as he went. He arrived just in time to see the robot power down, and the supers flee the scene. Following them much more slowly, he made it to the top well after they all disappeared, save one guy still salvaging scraps of the robo-death.

Limping to the door, he saw some guy standing outside, on the steps. It took a moment before it registered as one of the superheroes who'd helped him in the basement. He seemed to he shouting something to the cro- Oh no. He wouldn't. Please tell me he wouldn't.

He reached the door, invisible, and opened it, slipping out onto the steps. "I have taken care of everything. You cowards can go back inside." James' temper rose. Not only was this man revealing their existence, he was taking all the credit! Not wanting to further confirm his claims of super heroism, James opted not to become visible, but instead snuck up behind him. Pulling back, he slammed his fist into the back of the 'hero's' head, before running away.

Returning to the bathroom, he pulled off the mask, stuffing it into his pack. He fell then, exhausted from his exploits. After dozing for a moment, he rose, opened the door, and headed out to face the world.

My massive write up:

It is important to note that this write up has been enhanced slightly, and certain details may be slightly inaccurate. Especially those pertaining to the actions of the robot, and the level of disturbance caused by the situation.

Entry 2

That damn suit.
It always comes back to me, no matter what I do. And after today, I think I should keep a regular log, especiallywith everything going on.
I started off the day withe usual stuff- wake up, get ready, schoolwork, and head back to the dorm. Got bored, so headed over to Zora's to hang out for a bit. Damn, she is hot. Anyways, James came over soon after I did, and we went out to play soccer for a bit. She's actually not that bad.
Screw the boring stuff. After Chinese food, I headed back to the dorm, and out of pure boredom, grabbed my suit and headed out for a flight across the night sky. What happened next was quite a shock. I saw some commotion down at the museum, and set down outside it. I explored, and ended up seeing High Roller and Logi, who were fighting with someone shooting beams of ice. After asking them about the person, I went in chase. I used my thermal sensor in the prehistoric room, and found the supposed robber. I then switched it to NVG.
It was Zora.
I don't know how, but Zora was there, and she changed into her costume behind me after I detained her so that no one would find her identity (not knowing that I knew). We ended up letting her free, of course, since she was clearly not the robber and quite cute in her costume and was aligned with us, since she pointed out what was stolen-a stone tablet. I returned to the dorm, but it's too late to aks her now.
I can't believe that she's actually a hero.
I guess I'm forced to use that damned suit now.
Goodnight, world. Please make sense in the morning.

After an uneventful day, the various team members became aware of a break-in occuring at a local museum. Arriving across a staggered time period, numerous cases of mistaken identity occured, with the first three team members to enter being mistaken for the burgulars by those behind them. This produced a confused melee of chases and fights, ultimately ending with a complete failure to catch, or even see, the actual criminals. The evidence of their work was clear however, with a pre-historic carving being removed from a display case, and the front doors being forced open at some point during the fighting.

Theives in the Night!

A local museum in Doumedsville was the target of a robbery last night. Investigations have yet to be completed, but sources claim only one item was taken; a small tablet containing pre-historic drawings. The exact motives, and indeed perpetrators of the attack are still unknown, and police are urging anybody with further information to come forward.

My memories of what I didn't like about the first game are pretty clear after that mission. Watching as people spend the first two hours of the mission lounging around and outright refusing to play the game is not exactly what I want to be doing as a GM. Admittedly watching the complete disaster that occured once people finally got moving was great, but as far as I am concerned only half a mission at best actually happened there. Next mission, as always, Friday at 10 PM my time, unless something goes wrong.

Endlessly Waiting

A couple of other people have brought up problems with being there for a Friday mission in the chat. What is the general feeling on rescheduling to Saturday?

I can make Friday, but not Saturday.

could be real slim shady GM please tell me regarding the time when these missions take place ? I am at + 5 : 30 GMT

I'm about even to Friday or Saturday, all depends if I'm on duty Saturday mornings or not.

But this week I'm good for tonight or tomorrow night.

could be real slim shady GM please tell me regarding the time when these missions take place ? I am at + 5 : 30 GMT

Missions usually take place at 10 PM GMT, which would mean 3:30 PM for you. :undecide:

Seeing as there doesnt appear to be much difference for most people, I'm still not sure wether there will be a mission today or tomorrow; it probably depends as much on my state of mind at the time as it does on how many players are there.

Sorry I haven't been on here lately, I've had a real busy week that's left me extremely tired now, and idk if I can make missions on weekdays on Tuesday-Friday, if they are in the early evening, or even mid afternoon. This also applies for LH's current AC.

Following a largely uneventful day, the various members of the team headed out into the city at night to seek out crime. Upon sighting Equinox, Phantom and Wraith sent out a warning shot, and after a failed attempt to demand her surrender continued shooting. This, along with the grenades used, drew the other heroes to the base of Doumed Tower, where this was taking place. Both groups then attempted to enter the building, with the ground group, now joined by Equinox, being halted for a time by the doors. Phantom and Wraith ran afoul of security, and engaged in a difficult fight from which they were ultimately forced to flee. The group at ground level were accosted by police responding to the alarms triggered at the top of the building, and fled. During this flight, Blackout was seriously wounded, but caried to safety by Wraith.

-----

Terrorist Attack?

Doumed Tower was last night the site of a series of gunshots and explosions, as unknown attackers attempted to breach its security on several levels. Timely police response scared away the criminals, but not after the building suffered minor damage. Five employees working at the tower that night have been hospitalised with severe injuries, although no further word is available. As we seem to be saying so much this week, police are requesting that anybody with further information come forward and talk to them.

-----

Yeah, I don't even know what happened there. First we had people shooting at each other for no apparent reason, then everyone seemed to decide that breaking into the largest building in the city would somehow accomplish something. Next mission possibly today, possibly Sunday, at 10 PM my time either way.

DT

I didn't even know of Mission 3 until just now. :/

Mission 2: Thurdsay 6th September 2018

...

Next mission, as always, Friday at 10 PM my time, unless something goes wrong.

The write ups from the last mission contain the projected time for the next mission. Therefore the only way to miss it is to miss out on all the juicy XP and story. :p Or you can just remember that I almost always run missions on Friday at the same time, unless bad stuff happens to me. Or better-than-AC stuff happens to me. Yes, that really exists. :p
