The limmit here in norway is 18, but hardly anyone waits for that. 18 to get beer and such, and 20 for liquor.

I went to my first parties when i was 15, most people around here start drinking at that age, not to much to do in the countryside.

Sometimes the cops came, and told us to go somewhere else, never had a cop take away my drink when i was underage. But now im old enough to go to a pub so i dont have to hide away in parks and stuff, all tough that also was good time.

I know a lot of underage kids that get alcohol from their parents tough, and i personally am not to fond of that idea.

I drank before and after it was legal.

Easier and cheaper... out in the open too... seems better than the kids trying to buy it themselves, attempting to buy alcohol underage is illegal here, as is selling it to the aforementioned... gifting it is more complicated... lolz

Yeah, but atleast here every study done has shown that kids get their own alcohol, and that whatever they get from their parents come on top of that.
Im talking about for parties and stuff btw

To hell with drinking! I want a poll on who have tried the most hard-core drugs while underage. You guys are weak!!!:mischief:

Well, in most places there is no "underage" for most recreational drugs as there is no legal age . . .

I didnt say open a poll of "underage consumption of illegal substances." I just said, "lets open a poll of who have did the most hardcore drugs while underage.

You don't need alcohol to have fun. :)

I dont turn 21 for another 6 months or so. I don't drink, and my closest friends don't drink too much. However, due to the nature of my business, I spend a pretty good amount of time in bars.

I don't really need booze, I'm pretty outgoing as it is.

Some people drink because they like the taste; drunkeness is merely a pleasant side-effect.

I don't need alcohol to have fun, just to put up with sanctemonious tee-totallers.

I just realized I voted for the wrong option!!

I'm in fact NOT underage, as there is NO age limit for drinking alcohol here. However, I am indeed underage when buying alcohol.

Yes I do drink (I just drank about 250 ml of beer actually, while eating, but that really doesn't count, IMHO), in fact I was quite drunk yesterday and 3 days ago... I was at a guitar festival with a Russian, two Finns and 3 other fellow Balkaners... :D I mean you can't possibly find a better group to drink with.

Here almost EVERYONE starts drinking at around 13...

And I'm not saying this to look cool. Many people drink young around here. But we usually have pretty high tolerance, which is actually quite annoying for me (yesterday me and the Russian guy had to drink TWICE as much as the Finns and we weren't nearly as drunk in the end).

Mirc - So you can't buy alcohol, but if someone sees you on the street drinking, they don't mind?

At the very least, they should change the U.S. laws to this...

It varies by state; some states do indeed ban purchase and not consumption.

Same here, purchase is illegal but not consumption.

Usually what happend to me when i was underage was that the cops told me i couldnt drink at a public place (if we were hanging out in a park or by the water or something) and sometimes they asked us where we got it where we replied "I found it" and after a while they shrug and leave you alone.

I know it dosnt sound like it but the cops here are actually quite annoying.

You know, when someone drinks under the age limit, it's illegal. Illegal means it is against the law. Some people do it anyway. Some people don't. Some people think it's a dumb law. Others don't. These people generally don't agree with the people who think it is a dumb law. This causes controversy. Controversy is when people don't agree, like in this case.

Sometimes you think someone is responding to you, but they aren't. This could be embarrassing, but you can't ignore them either. Because if you ignored them, they might have been talking to you, and that could be embarrassing to the other poster. Either way, it should be a good game.

Thanks, John! (sigh...) [/Pat Summerall]
