Unique Builiding Elimination Thread

Burial Tomb- 1 Not really the greatest benefits, but the main gripe I have is the fact that it gives your enemies to sack you first
Coffee House - 10
Ducal Stable- 9
Floating Gardens - 25
Hanse- 23
Ikanda - 18
Mud Pyramid Mosque- 6 .
Paper Maker- 32
Pyramid- 30
Satraps Court- 12 When played in tandem with Persia's other abilities this building becomes a lot of fun
Stele- 29
Wat - 5

Bazaar - 35
Burial Tomb- 0 I'll kill you off. You had a good run, but just are not as good as the other buildings on this list.
Coffee House - 11 Austria is considered a good civ, even though its UA and UU aren't all that great. This has to be the reason why. It's subtle but makes a big difference.
Ducal Stable- 9

Austria is actually considered a good civ because of their amazing UA. Try going tradition and buying off two nearby city states to complete your 4 cities. They should come with libraries pre-built so won't delay your national college, plus free workers & units (and if they are coastal a good chance of having already improved their sea resources).

Ducal Stable- 9
Floating Gardens - 25
Hanse- 23
Ikanda - 18
Mud Pyramid Mosque- 3 - requires you to play a religion game, and the bonuses are not really worth it.
Paper Maker- 32
Pyramid- 30
Satraps Court- 13 - The funnest building for the funnest civ. Everyone needs a bank, and Persia needs the happiness.
Stele- 29
Wat - 5

Bazaar - 35
Coffee House - 11
Ducal Stable- 10- This works perfectly with Winged Hussars and is basically a horse barracks.
Floating Gardens - 25
Hanse- 23
Ikanda - 18
Mud Pyramid Mosque- 0- Its simply the worst one left.

Paper Maker up because early money = goodness.

Ikanda down because I'd rather have the Paper Maker for warmongering.

Bazaar - 35
Coffee House - 11
Ducal Stable- 10
Floating Gardens - 25
Hanse- 20 - City states are generally not what you are trading with, so the bonus really doesn't apply much.
Ikanda - 15
Paper Maker- 33
Pyramid- 30
Satraps Court- 14 - Bazaar and Stele are probably better, but I will save this one for as long as possible. Timing your wars around golden ages and spamming happiness buildings is a joy.
Stele- 29
Wat - 5

I came to this thread late and noticed the Burial Tomb had already been eliminated. So I looked for the reasons
A building that gives +2 Happiness should never have been eliminated before some of the others here. What with so many people complaining that Happiness is a problem in the early game.

So people only play Egypt for the UA? The UU doesn't get a lot of forum love. The Burial Tomb was so awesome they had to give it a downside

Yeah, I do think Burial Tomb should have lasted a bit longer... But the people have spoken!
Voted down Coffee House. It's not bad, but annoying to lose some production.
Voted up Stele, really helpful to get that early religion. Religion isn't as important in BNW, but still decent to get your own early game.

Bazaar - 35
Coffee House - 5- Losing production is bad!
Ducal Stable- 10

Satraps Court- 14
Stele- 30 - Slingshots Ethiopia's religion chances forward by a mile, which can easily even out the civ's tall strategy if going for a points victory.
Wat - 2 - To me it just doesn't work right, I mean, Wat?

Stele- 30
Wat - 0 Don't have any issue with it, but I love killing off these

Bazaar - 35
Coffee House - 5
Ducal Stable- 7 I like this guy, but I also think the numbers for each building is about right at the moment. Poland has better things to do than to make horses, like beeline through eras with science and get lots of social policies.
Floating Gardens - 25
Hanse- 21 This seems like it would have some amazing synergies with patronage and freedom, especially if you can get Petra or Colossus.
Ikanda - 15
Paper Maker- 33
Pyramid- 31.
Satraps Court- 15
Stele- 30

Bazaar - 35
Coffee House - 6 the basic building is a waste of hammers i almost never build, while this UB can be useful if you want some great peoples!
Ducal Stable- 7
Floating Gardens - 25
Hanse- 21
Ikanda - 15
Paper Maker- 33
Pyramid- 31.
Satraps Court- 12 in most cities bank isnt needed, so essentialy its a 2nd zoo which gives some gold. WHY did it survive longer than Burial Tomb? Tomb comes two eras earlier, costs 2x less than Court... Its 1000 times bettr than this! You guys made a big mistake :gripe:
Stele- 30

Bazaar - 35
Coffee House - 6
Ducal Stable- 4 I think this is the next worst one. Not sure about coffee house as I haven't tried Austria yet.
Floating Gardens - 25
Hanse- 21
Ikanda - 15
Paper Maker- 33
Pyramid- 32 - again this UB rocks and if you're playing a marathon game, this UB could make a bit of a difference.

Between Ducal Stable and Coffee House it is pretty close, but Coffee House is applicable in all cities so it wins out.

Paper Maker negates those early game gpt issues and continues to deliver all game long.

Bazaar - 32
Coffee House - 3- Losing production is always bad.

Pyramid- 33 - Religion and science are not usually played together as one, and the fact that the maya can do so is very exciting.
