What is with all of the America hate in these threads? I seriously don't see why the musketeer is ahead of the minutemen. If you place the units side by side, a three-sight unit that ignores terrain costs is undoubtedly better than a higher strength unit that loses all uniqueness upon upgrading.

I feel like people are lumping the minutemen in with the general distaste for America.

I agree. Also...

One thing to remember is that a lot of people played America as one of their first civs on buying the game. America's special units have gone from "bleh" to "best" in subsequent patches.

Minuteman, it was that their free promotion initially disabled road movement. That made them worse than their base unit (Musketman).

I think the Jannisary is safe for now >.> So I'm going to help the camel archer. Not as good as the keshiks, but still, the move-shoot-move ability is great.
Hurting the Jaguar because the only good thing about it is that it upgrades. That means having to make an effort to pump out as many as you can while you can, which means building less important early game buildings when you need them most.
