Unit Action Delay

In Civup v2.0.45 (G&K) I made some internal changes to reduce the "refresh rate" of city yields in an attempt to reduce lag. It now refreshes only when specific events happen like reassigning citizens, choosing production, etc. If you encountered lag problems in the past, please post if v45 affects you, or does not have a perceptible change.

If this works I will transfer the improvements over to the VEM version of Civup.

nice, well done!

still nothing on the postcombat lag? or am I the only poor loser getting that?

by the way the download still has 2044

Using just the modified line in vanilla VEM/Civup v.144 and playing a vanilla game w/no mods for contrast, this is what I saw:

vanilla - by whatever combination of turns, cities, date, once I get 12-18 cities plus middle ages (1400s-1600s) - the game slows down a bit overall and when the main map scrolls going from one location to another with auto unit select on it sometimes hesitates a bit or stutters.

with mod - same thing only more so. Also, tooltips from build menu of city screen start to persist, game hangs until they clear (but _no_ problem with terrain tooltips); when buying tiles it takes a long time for the buy tile message in bar to return. No other probs, unless you count the values in city screen not updating until next turn, or eventually some lag in the city-states tab.

I neither game did I have a bunch of units moving around so can't comment on that.
