Congratulations Vuldacon with your win! :goodjob:

congrats, Vuldacon!
Your fantastic "Drunk" really derserves to be the unit of the year.

But the title unit maker of the year imho goes to Sandris, who created an amazing amount of superb units in 2008!

I thank all the units/graphic creators for their creatitity and their wonderful work! :king:

Thank you to everyone who voted for The Drunk :D
Thanks to all of you Distinguished Unit Makers represented by your Excellent Units in this contest. I am Honored to be a part of such a Fine Group here at CivFanatics. It is elating to know that many, if not all, votes are from my peers who understand the factors involved with Unit Making.

I applaud all of you Unit Makers who so generously provide your Wonderful Units for our Games. You are all Very Talented, Gifted people :hatsoff:

Close One Plotinus! The Drunk and I want to buy you and The Hobbit a Drink... in fact Drinks for everyone...without the Fire of course

WOOT! I'm in third place!!!!! :trophy3rd: Of course I got to share 3rd place with Wyrmshadow, and Sandris, but considering that they're both better unit makers than I'll ever be, by a good country mile, I don't mind that at all. :D

Congratulations, Vuldacon. This was a very tough to decide competition. The unit makers always seem to outdo themselves with the beauty of their units and the quality of the animations.

Congratulations to everyone and especially the 8 that are in the top 4.

[edit]Which happens to be... everybody. :goodjob:

Congratulations Vuldacon for unity of the Year 2008 :D

Congrats Vuldacon, excellent unit and a good win.

@ Hikaro, I'm kind of picky when adding units to my game, I have only added 40 units to my game and 4 of them are yours, oddly enough I have not yet added any of Wyrmshadow's or Sandris' units.

I would say that Plotinus has my vote for the best all round unit maker if you go by the 10 units of his that I use.

Just OOC, Pounder, what for mod are you making/using? I'd think that Sandris or Wyrm would have some of the best HISTORICAL units of anyone out there right now. I'd be one of the best FANTASY unit makers, but that would be simply because I've been about the ONLY fantasy unit maker for the past year or so.

I can't see where any of my units, excluding the 1895 US Infantry, Captain Jack Sparrow or Gatling Gun would be of any use to any non-fantasy modder....

I have my own game that is called Pounder's Preferences. Basically built over the 8 or 9 years that Civ3 has been out.

It is 1000 turns from 9992BC-2258AD on a Map with 31 Civs. All the original Civs, except Americans are replaced by the Sioux. Some changes to balance the 1000 turn game. Later in the game there are more futuristic units like Mechs (Zeniths, Reavers, Warhounds, Dreadnoughts), some units that could be the results of genetic mods, that's where your units come in (Rikku, Altima and both versions of Terra).
