That Rohirrim looks like a killer!
But, I'd rather you didn't look too much on the pics posted by sobe_1_knob: the films isn't the same as the books, and Peter Jackson use some creative license here and there.
Like the wargs, for example, who doesn't look like mutated Guinea Pigs (not as I read the books, at least). :mutant:
Hmm, guess I have to think about what we need, what we want, and what we really want.
other than the wargs I think the other characters and creatures from the movie are great and the games workshop models are a great representation of the film.
about the new unit (great btw): you could always do two, one with spear, one with sword There is no doubt they are needed.
the movie: i agree, in most cases, the characters are very good and close to my expectations after the book. GW figures are also great, even the wargs don't look exactly as in the movie (they look like something between the movie wargs and book wargs - wolves).
legolas and cave troll is another story though...
I love it.. its fabolus.. When u make foot unit like this for lotr simply put in differnt weapons in the hands so that we can have a wider variaty of units...
I agree about legolas.. I think orlando bloom did a very good job..
My idea about wargs from the books are like wolfs only:
shorter (like theyre the same body mass just squised)
a little more muscular
a little more hairy and a little "rounder" in the face..
I do think that the wargs in the movie was quite good altough they might have looked just a litlle to big and monstronus..
The cave troll was done very well... I think that it should have been more rugged but I do like the one from the movie.. the unit thats made from that is also quite great..
This is the unit I'm working on now. It's supposed to be one of the races of evil men, but I don't remember the name. They're seen in The Two Towers enterding Mordor through the Black Gate as Frodo, Sam, and Smeagol look on. I spent a lot of time on making the armor, but I'm still not real happy with the unit.
Do any on those people working on the Lord of the Rings mod have suggestions? Oh yeah, which race would this belong to, and what should it be called?
Well, I looked up Haradrim, but that wasn't it. It did lead me to the answer though: Easterlings. Anyway, after seeing pictures at the website below, I see that I need to make a couple of alterations. The design on my shield is incomplete. The breastplate could be wider too.
