Unit Request: A few Good Men, Marines for the Ages

He's very similar to Dark Sheers Colonial Musketman but his hat is different.

Napoleonic Marines:

WWI Marines:

This one's a lot like the Civ3 Infantry, but with less stuff.

Actually if this time I succeed in understanding unit creation (or actually modification rolleyes: ) I would try to work on some Napoleonic units and although he did not use them very much, Napoleon Guard marines might be part of them. That is, if only... not daring to mention when....

great idea - I, for one, could never understand why Civ3 only had modern marines. The Royal Marines date back to the 1800s, and the Ancient Greeks used amphibious tactics (although in a slightly different manner).

How 'bout a Roman marine- the stander civ 3 centaurion but with a transvers(side to side) crest, and mabey no greaves(those leg plates)

I always thought it would be cool to have a pirate-ish marine unit for privateers. That would be great addition as would all of those above.

Yes, some new marines are very much needed... especially to replace the ones in the World War II campaign... ugh, an M-16 in the Pacific theater? Gah!

After some deliberation a while back, we decided that we couldn't decide what gun the marine had!
