now that you mention it would you be able to make the Vangiran Guard spelling? it would be a cool unit to have in the game and also Byzantium Infantry as a flavour swordsman unit

by the way excellent model i cant wait for it to come out.....

I'm bogging down terribly... A problem with the tassels on the front armor stopped animation temperarily, but I may just have a solution... I haven't even realized it's been so long, several busy weekends have been keeping me from making too much progress.

Preview of the new version's default... Only some minor changes, mostly to fix the front armor and speed up my render times.

Gorgeous!

It better be the best unit ever made as it's going to take me almost two hours just to render the frames for ONE of the 8 directions :) (it was working out to two and a half hours before I reworked some of it) :)

It's really awesome! all that horse clothing/armor looks great. I must also agree it's your best unit I've seen :)
BTW Kinboat, I dont know if I do it right but I don't render my animations in poser at all, I just use display settings for Make Movie. I get ground shadows instead of real shadows but I like ok so far. Also transparency isn't working, but I never used it in any unit. The obvious advantage is that I "get what I see" (in terms of lighting) and rendering of all directions, for all unit's animations take like 30 minutes... (for 400x400 framesize)

I use the make movie as well (but with render settings)... I'm rendering this one at 142x142 but it includes a lot of figures... The horse (which now includes the armor, before the armor was about three seperate figures) the rider... and then his armor, pants and shoes. So that's 6 figures right there (used to be 10 :) ) The more figures and the higher the polygon count on those figures the slower the render... I know I put in too much detail and my figures have way too many polygons for the size I'm rendering them at but Oh Well :) ... I've also used transparencies in several units so if rendering at display settings doesn't use them then that's out. I really don't mind the time as I can just set it and let it go overnight...

BTW Kinboat please post anyprevies as soon as the animation is ready.

im in love with this unit:love:

"let it go overnight..." - how do you set up a batch render? python? (i mean do you have poser automatically move the figure 45 degress, render, move, render... etc. automatically?).

I have the same "too much figure" problem with that wolf chariot... it has 7 figures now. Make Movie with display settings is still ok, but working with so many figures is so messy and slow..
