Civ 4 civilopedia tips section states that, if you select a transport ship and right-click on a land square, units onboard are unloaded automatically in that square.

Ok, this is a savetimer except in one case: if you right-click on a tile covered by fog of war just to explore the sea, and this tile is then a shore tile in which you don't won't to unload your units.

I think I'm an expert in unloading my explorers this way, just to see them dying next turn because barbs don't like foreigners near their cities

I have attached a gamesave for this bug. In this save I demonstrate two bugs, closely related.

Bug description:
(As Pep already said), moving a cargo ship into the shroud onto a tile which is land causes the ship to unload units right away. The second bug is that if you attempt to move a worker (or presumably any non-combat unit) to a tile which has fog of war on the way, and it comes across an enemy, it will not stop but rather veer off track and find another route.

To reproduce.
1. Load the game save attached.
2. Move the transport 4 tiles south, as shown in the picture. Note it unloads instantly
3. Move the worker to the tile with the maceman, as shown in the picture. Note it ends up on the forested hill with no movement points left, sitting beside a barbarian.

What to expect:
For the worker or non-combat unit, coming across an unseen enemy should cause the unit to stop and await further orders. For the transport, it should stop before unloading units.

The bug was already mentioned for the Final Frontier mod. It would be more frequent in that mod because of the distance between stars and the amount of fog in between.
