Hi croxis. About the skin necessary change and no poop Sherlock etc.:
1) It was a skin I used for singleplayer, half because of hilarity, and half because I could make my own clothing, making it reasonable. I did not intend to offend you or anyone else. Everyone who noticed the skin - I've been wearing it for almost the whole time - just laughed and moved on. And wrote in the chat window that I was naked while you were online. You of course didn't respond to that.
2) I really don't appreciate the tone you presented me. I understand the first mod part of telling me strictly to change my skin, so I did that, but no poop Sherlock weren't a joke from your side and told me I was an idiot for not following some obvious rule. But there were no rules.
3) And here comes the catch, you might be kind write somewhere that we have to follow some kind of rules. I didn't consider this, but if we are going to do this by the "obvious" CFC rules, we can't swear either. And I've seen people swear in the server. A lot. So I didn't really consider the CFC rules for the server.
4) So I'm offended without the right to do so with your tone, but I of course accept your position and have adapted as such. But please do then write down some rules somewhere, thank you.

Got a problem in admin land. The delay of the server mod which gives us all these fancy plugins messed up development of some of the said plugins. The most critical of these is towny, which the author put on hold for another project. It sounds like one of the coders from another server has taken on the task on working on the plugin, but I do not know timetables or how this comes to fruitation. I want to gather your guys' opinion on towny. First your opinions on how the plugin worked out so far (enough spaces per person, etc). Also your thoughts on these two alternatives:

It really wasn't enough room per person, it likely would just have been better to allow people to build anywhere and simply ask that they stay within their cities
Am I the only one getting blackouts? I'll be playing the game normally on the server when suddenly the screen will go black and it will crash and stop responding. Whats up with that? It's happened 3 or 4 times now usually within 5-10 mins of play.

Kara, I am not sure if it is server or client related. Best suggestion I can give is make sure your java and graphics drivers are up to date. I also recommend searching the minecraft and/or hey0 forums for discussion on similar systems.
I like the towny mod too, but I agree that things are too small. Here are the possible parameters that can be changed in towny:
Grid size: The current block is 16x16, but it can be set to any square. 32x32 seems more viable. However this change would require destroying the towny database (buildings would stay intact). This means reforming the towns and readding everyone.
Another other option is I can adjust the number of blocks given per town level.
Another option is changing to determine town block per person as opposed to town level.

Its a beta, it happens. Try turning down your view distance to normal.

The Towny Mod has been great to keep thing in control, however, space is somewhat limited. MineStaff is running out of room with the new public buildings that have been built (mostly my fault there), and there is still three more people needed for the next the expansion.
I'd be for increasing the amount of land available for the taking per each town expansion, only if each town would get the extra land for expansions they've already had.

Ok I just upped the sizes a bit. Also a nice reminder that there is no towny in the neather. If you guys want towny in the neather let me know, also know that it would be a separate database.

there is a free program called revo uninstaller (just google it). It will run the default uninstaller for that program, and then run its own file and registry cleaner. Very handy program to have in general.

Nah I don't see why the nether needs any towny stuff, being able to build a bridge over the lava is crucial and there aren't a lot of resources there anyways.
Land bonuses?
As for towns hitting their borders, a bit more room is good though soon we may need to found another town.
