Upcoming Version of CCTP and development

Welcome to all new and old CCTP players.

In the last time it was quit here and only Gyogen was keeping this mod on its way.

While i was busy with rl and most of the former members went to there own projects/ rl buisness.

I think its time to start a new age for CCTP, i asked Gyogen if he is willing to be the person who keeps this community together as the community manager.

This means iam still there and will do work on CCTP when ever i can, but this mod is to big for one dude alone.

Therefor i would like to start a development group for CCTP.
We would split the work into several parts like Text, Icons/Art, XML/SQL and Lua.

This would expedite the development off CCTP with a big step.

Everybody who would like to be a part of this team will be very welcome

In the meantime iam working on the technologies and some other stuff.
Hopefully this work will be done in 1-2 weeks.

Yeah the big promised update is finally comming.

After that, we can start with the development team to decide what we want to see in the next version of CCTP.

Remember this is a Community Project, so many people have spended so much hard work on this, and i would like to see that this work can be reimplended.

So i ask you are you interested?

Features of Community Call To Power 405 (Neo)

*400 Technologies to discover

*Over 400 (prohably much more) buildings and wonders.

*New improvements like the Tippy

*Some new Resources like Obsidian and Bisons

*A overworked system of Manpower, now every wonder, some buildings and units will need Manpower to be build.

*Electricity is expanded and much more a challenge in the late game

*Ai behavior is overworked and now working as intended

*Policy system overworked and will include good old CCTP policies from the past. Means new trees and a lot more of choices to make.

*Several other changes that will be listed soon.

My mistake its spelled Tipi not Tippi.

Its one improvement from the latest dlc firaxis released.

So you can call it a big tent where people live inside.
It will be one of the early improvements, it grands +1 food and can only be build on plains and grass land.
Also it provides one Manpower and cant build direct near another Tipi.
It will only avaible for a limited time ( obsolete tech).

You are very welcome, we need help in many parts, and when the next version is out (CCTP405 Neo).

We will take a look, what each of use can do and what would be the best
It will be a long run to 406, but thats ok we are all busy and have our own stuff in rl to do.

I would like it to collaborate to make this mod even more beautiful ( which it already is ) , I'm a software engineering student and have some experience in programming languages like C# & Java but I'm sure willing to learn about Lua programming! It would take some time to fully understand all the syntax changes in lua compared to let's say C# though but I'm very motivated!

I also have some experience sql coding and in Paint.Net for making 'art-ish' pictures if needed. When the next version is out, we need to make some sort of bugtracker system and update the gitHub link so we can all work more efficient.

Just like you've said earlier; We all have a busy life, for me that's mostly being a student ( college and ofcourse party-ing like a maniac ) and developing mobile apps for certain businesses in my area as a side job.

TLDR: Software engineering student with a busy life wants to help!

Ok more seriously.
We are currently working hard for CCTP 405 (Neo), when this is done, hopefully soon, but we encountered some problems, most are fixed but it take some time, we will start the developing team.

With reactivating Git hub and starting from this pont on a new level.

Its so nice to have someone with C++ knowledge , this is our biggest lack so far.

We got many ideas for this Project , but due many problems and the lack of willing/ not to busy people, we are stucked.

Yeah we all have our rl, but we all love Civ, and to be honest i cant wait to play my first game of CCTP since month

Parts that need to be done...
*Flavors need a complete overhaul, and rebalancing.
*Yields need to be improved and also to be more balanced.
*Missing Text entries needs to be removed.
*Era specific settings need also a overhaul.
*Policies need some adjustings and also to think of reanabling all former CCTP Policies or the harder way to change the way Ideologies affects the game.
*Icons/Splashes need to incorparated.
*Including new Specialists, this will need some lua coding, because othwise we would break several parts of CCTP.
I did this in the past, but other parts where more important at this time.
*Adding some new resources, that didnt managed to get into CCTP yet.
*A improvement that will grant Electricity, f.e a Power Plant.
*The event manager.
*Religions grants buildings, a very nice feature to allow only religious cities wonders like the dome of the rock.
*Music, yeah adding own music files for technologies, wonders and whatever.....
*Translations, sure i would love to play this game ion my native language and many other players, would prefer the same.
*CCTP own DLL

That was just a little brainstorm, about features that i would think are still missing/incomplete.

Its fine for me, i like to learn and will try to avoid this error in the future.
My naitive language is german, also i can write and speak some spanish and latin.

Iam not perfect, even not near, as long as you dont act like a grammar nazi, its fine for me to correct my spelling and text entries.
