Saudi Arabia is actually NOT an ally of Iran, at all, and actively undermines them and is glad the US is keeping Iran somewhat in check.

Your assumption that there will be war is faulty.
If there is...
1) France, UK, Saudi?, hopefully Israel isn't drawn in... NATO will generally deliver the goods.
2) Drone attacks on?
3) China and Russia... anything for a buck (as NATO countries would do if the roles were reversed)
4) Depends on the objectives...

They did, I was in the initial invasion, in the north, and the Kurdish people greeted us with flowers.

I brought that thread back from the dead since the media firebrands and certain US politicians are already shooting verbal missiles at Iran ... and Israel seems more than determined to start shooting as soon as they can. Someone already sent their assassination squads into Iran to kill civilian nuclear scientists, which is already an act of war if proof can be found.

Kind of like providing material support for an organization that lobs missiles at civilian population centers and kidnaps/kills soldiers is an act of war...

If Israel was determined to start shooting as soon as they could, they already would have...
They hope not to need to as any potential war involving them in that area generally leads to facing multiple enemies!

Obama isn't stupid enough to get involved in one right before the election. The question is, is Israel stupid enough to start one on its own?

America is indeed a warmonger, but Iran is an exceedingly bad target.

America has a history of being a warmonger, but after a long drawn out war it takes time for America to become a warmonger again; as of right now the American people are sick of war. It will take at least 10 years after Iraq and Afghanistan before America will want to invade somewhere else.

And FYI I am an American and I think invading Iran would be just plain stupid (at best).

Here's how I see it playing out:

Israel is getting paranoid, more an more each day. The trigger finger is itching, and events are probably unfolding daily that lead to a strike on Iran.

Israel knows this will bring several countries into the fold. They don't like this, but they see it all as inevitable. They also realize that Obama would be put in a political situation like no other. Elections in mere months, and Obama has to either help Israel in a useless war or publicly abandon an important ally to many people in this country.

Ideally, Obama lets them off on their folly, but what do we really believe are the chances of that?

I believe syria's current turmoil will be seen as sort of a prologue to this little romp.
