1. Is it possible to use Pre-Rise and Fall DLC Assets? Rightnow checking either default Asset Editor or SDK Assets, while DLC folders exist. Usable DLC Assets aren't. I think it has been compressed. but if it is so how can I decompress one? What is a tool to do so and how?

ACTUALLY I want Australian Digger 'armor' piece and hats too. To make WW1 uniforms.

alternatively you might spare me one similiarly looking asset instead :P

Hijacking this as I found this while searching for another problem.

It appears that if you want to use Assets from the new DLC (such as ethiopia and its diplomatic-quarters district) you are out of luck.
If anyone knows that I am wrong, I would love to know- but everything I have seen tells me 'too bad'

I think the same applies here. For small DLC I think firaxis just didnt want us to steal their assets and make a mod out of them-- which could "easily" be done for DLC as small as a simple leader.

^ Nah. my aim is to borrow assets from existing DLC (released before 'Rise and Fall' expansion), not Ethiopia and diplomatic quarters thing .

I know.

I was saying the answer I found to my problem probably applies here too.

They didnt want us having access to Assets from a small DLC because the player could then make a mod duplicate version of the DLC for free.

Is there a way to display the Assets from the Expansions 1 and 2 in the Asset Browser, Asset Previewer and the Asset Editor?

In Expansion 1 and 2 (except Pre - RF DLCs) If you installed SDK modbuddy and assets, look at the folder where assets are stored. like this

modbuddy assets folder.jpg

All pre-RF DLCs are beyond my knowledge to bring it out.

My problem is that, while I can see the files in the WIndows file explorer, they do not appear in the ModBuddy Asset Browser.

You have to copy asset files from that directory

For example. Okhi something is not available in standard asset lists (while Pike and Shot does)
once you've got an asset copied. look for its 'dependency' files (animations, DSG, behaviours, geometries, materials and textures) and copy those into associated folders to view them.

EDIT: Wrong gramma soz.

Rename the following files in ...\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization VI SDK Assets to fix this issue:
exp1-asset-deps.json -> Expansion1-asset-deps.json
exp2-asset-deps.json -> Expansion2-asset-deps.json
