Using the latest SVN at the time of writing:

I can't make the Cherokee culture despite having 2 cities that fulfill the conditions (forest, pumpkin & american culture). Not sure if it makes any difference, but I used the free technology from Cheomseongdae to grab the Alphabet tech? American isn't my native culture either, but that hasn't been a problem with any other cultures so far.

Here's the save in case anyone wants to take a look (Ravenna and Olissipo both fulfill the conditions, but the Cherokee culture doesn't appear in either):

Pumpkin, squash and watermelon are revealed by gathering and available with irrigation.
You might check your science advisor and find out the lack of said irrigation.

Doh, of course! Bug was between computer and chair, then - thanks.

Interestingly, I started a map game (pre-Columbian), and the guardian problem is no more...
I can click him and so on.
But I'm start as a minor civ now - which I don't remember being when I started just a random custom game.
Maybe I'm wrong, or the reasons are different...
Anyways, has ANYONE ever encountered this problem?
If not, let's hope I won't too, in the future. :D

HAHAHA... NOT funny.
The very next TURN it crashed.
So, I WAS right, I can't select and/or try moving this freaking unit...

No, seems to be the MAP.
It crashes on turn 2 ALWAYS.
It doesn't work neither as scenario nor map...
And I so wanted to play with SO MANY civs at once...

DUDES, I hate how you have so many TRIVIAL errors in this GREAT mod... :( :( :(

Have you tried some other mapscript then? I'm using perfectmongoose and have no problems selecting the tribal guardian. But... why would you even want to select/try move him (especially with 0 movement that he has, heh)? Just let the guy be and protect the capital, it's all he's good for. :p

No, the current problem is the map...
I hate not being able to play REAL WORLD maps...

The fact that the GEM in V24 release is bugged is a known issue, and that is fixed on the SVN. I am hoping that we will spend more time before we release V25 fixing stupid typo bugs like that, as the releases really should be more polished than V24 was.

ls612 (apart from being a funny neighboring number)
What exactly should I download for GEM to work?
Please, tell me exactly, or even with a link, if you please.

Copied file content from HERE.
I'll try the maps out soon.

NOPE, didn't help...

THIS IS STUPID...

Anyways, can ANYONE solve this stupid error, PLEASE???

Crash research requires a minidump to be posted including the revision or version number.

What's a minidump?
Also, I only downloaded the main v24 file and copied it to a clean folder, so no overwriting issues exist.
Anyways, two current crashes I experience are GEM not working and trying to move the guardian.
Neither seems to have anything to do we my preferences...

The minidump.dmp file can be found in the Beyond the Sword folder that also contains the Mods folder. It contains extra information about what was happening at the time of the crash. I can't help with GEM, my machine can't handle such big maps.

Well, MY personal problem of not being able to play it, WAS solved.
The rest goes to you - our favorite MODDERS!
And we know, you WILL eventually solve it, be it tomorrow or in 2100.

EDIT:

Also just noticed that when i clicked on a building to be built now, it stays in the action area and does not remove itself like it used to, ie Irrigation Canals (screenie2).

Fixed. I had commented out the only content of an if block in that Python script and Python does not allow that.
