You'll get a report tomorrow evening, you needy b*tch.
Haha! Fooled you!
Okay, err, sorry about that. The bed called earlier than usual.
@glen: Don't worry, when I got CIV for Christmas a couple of years back, I played it for eight hours straight. Great games deserve excitement.
Anyway, Utica was founded pronto on the settler's spot. It's borders haven't expanded yet, and I didn't get around to improve the resources yet. It's working on a granary, slowly.
I vetoed the scout in Carthage in favor of a warrior. (More staying power.) I was pretty glad that I did, because there were at one point two barbarian warriors near Utica. They never attacked, but it could have gotten nasty.
A word on our explorers: Lion king is fortified on the ice northwest of Carthage
for fogbusting. Woodstock hasn't moved all round. He got attacked by a barb warrior and is healing right now.
Besides the warrior, I built a worker in Carthage. The horses are now hooked up, so the city is building a chariot. We should build a settler at size six. I suggest settling this site.
The idea would be to cottage pretty much everything and whip a granary and a library. A nice, instant profit-city.
When Utica gets up to speed, it can handle the military production. Carthage could then focus on commerce and building settlers/workers.
Researchwise I skipped archery (archers are inferior to even chariots) and, with a religion in mind, shot for CoL via meditation-> priesthood-> writing. We could try for the Oracle, but I think that our expansion is already on the slow side. Besides, if we go full commerce in Carthage soon, we'll get CoL faster by researching it.
Who's up? Vanor?
