I'm not sure if this is a problem with steam/the workshop or VEM (I'm guessing steam), but I can't get VEM to install. I subscribed to the mod in the workshop, and went to the mods menu in-game, but the mod isn't installing. In my Civ 5\Mods directory there is an "unofficial patch and vanilla enhanced (v160).civ5mod" file, but not folder with the installed contents. I've tried deleting the contents of my cache folder and my ModUserData folder, but it doesn't help it to install. I have several other mods that I have installed with the workshop without any problems.

Any ideas?

I was having similar trouble a few days ago with the Workshop where the UP and CSD mods would not install properly into folders so they could be used.

With advice from others, I unzipped each mod file using 7zip into the neccessary mod folder. Then, I renamed each folder slightly in order to match that of the applicable .modinfo file.

Please give this a try and let us know if it works for you too.

Hey,

I had the same problem and unzipped using said program and the mod installs fine. But I didn't rename or move anything. In game all seems to work fine but the trade window is blank. I cannot see what I am offering or what the AI is offering. The window where you have the list of what you are offering has text in it but it is almost as if the whole trading thing is broken somehow.

Im not sure where to go from here and not sure if i need to reposition anything.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

That was interesting.

I had 160 manually installed. I deleted it from the mods folder, deleted the cache, and started the game. When I clicked on "mods" 161 was automatically downloaded and installed.

Played a few turns - seems to be fine. (Thanks!)

Yup. Deleted all mod file. Re subscribed and everything downloaded and installed properly. Played a few good turns and seems all diplomacy fixed.

Much thanks!
