But Germany was only financially dependant on the USA because of the high reparations. And without the need to avoid paying them the Germans wouldn´t have made some mistakes they made (somtimes willingly).
The other thing is Germany didn´t feel secure (remember Polish and Lithunian attacks). But this I pointed above.

But, the reason hitler got so much support was due to the fact that the country was in shambles due to what this treaty took away from them. I admit Hitler was a big part, but if this treaty was made to better suit both sides, I feel World War II could have been toned down or possibly avoided.

The country was in shambles but not only because of the treaty. The monarchy had fallen, communism was on the rise, everyone hated the old government (the November Crimminals) and the people were in shock that Germany had lost the war. As Sarevok said, Hitler came to power on the back of the Great depression and by that time I think Germany wasn't paying many reparations at all.
If Germany hadn't lost WW1 then there wouldn't have been any Nazi party and Hitler wouldn't have come to power. Hitler wanted ww2 coz he wanted Lebensraum in the east.
