[SCENARIO] Vertical Solar Sistem Map

Hi, I play with your map and I can explore other planets, build a solar Array and it's really cool ^^
But I cant build space station lvl1 ! I have two units Space Shuttle but they can't go to cislunar space. I wrote they can go to low earth orbit, but where is that ??
For information I built International Space Station and Space laboratory

It should border directly Earth. I guess you are using outdated version of map.
You can add strip of it yourself on edges of Earth part.
 
Arg ! It's the first post map however.
Ok I add few plot of low earth orbit on pole, my Space Shuttle can go here but they can't build anything

To clarify, is the most recent version of the map the one that is available in the SVN package or the one that is available to download on the first post?

Its both - I uploaded most recent one after bug in map was found.
 
The main problem of space in any game is it is empty in reality :)
I mean in Kation's map secondary terrains, features and resources are only where they make sense :p
That is they are usable by buildings in given zone.
 
I have not yet reached space :)
what I am happy is with turn times. AI is not building 1000 brutes or celebraties and slowing the game to a crawl. just reached information age.

At what speed and handicap are you playing?

You should be in Ancient era....
And you are in Modern era.

I think you should have started with Upscaled research costs option and Upscaled construction costs on this map.
First option has 40% higher tech costs and second one has 40% higher unit/building/improvement construction costs.
Marathon has 8000 turns - average research speed should be tech per slightly more than 8 turns.
I guess you can spam more Tribes on slower speed before you reach sedentary lifestyle.

You are playing on Kation's space map by the way - version V5.

Aborigens got absolutely destroyed by global unhappiness - this effect is worse for bigger empires.

This game was started before Pepper added new techs - go to Industrial/Modern era and research them too.
It was started at SVN 10103 - somewhere in July.
This was before my rebalance (when I increased tech costs by 50% and remade calendar), building requirement review and before Pepper added new techs.
So I guess this game saw a lot of stuff happening in between.
And that upscaled cost options aren't needed.

Turn lasted 190 seconds (little over 3 minutes) for me.

yes... i was way behind and aborginals were 5 times me in score. then i got goldsmith trading unit...it gave 700 gold per turn in trade. I build 40 of them and bought all techs.
send a few assasins to aborginals and they collapsed....not sure how.

3 mins turn is awesome. in my last game without your map, turn time reached 55 mins!!. AI build 4000 garbage units like brutes / entertainers /programers and slowed the game.

how to download the latest version?

Ah you don't have SVN.
1. Download tortoise
2. Create folder named Caveman2Comos in Mods folder, this folder is where BTS exe is.
3. Rightclick this folder and press "SVN Checkout"
4. Window will popup.
URL of Repository must be https://svn.code.sf.net/p/caveman2cosmos/code/trunk
Checkout directory must be Beyond the Sword\Mods\Caveman2Cosmos

Those assasins managed to raise crime enough, so criminals started spawning and they raised crime in other cities I guess.
I guess AI underreacts on crime warfare.

will it be possible to have the "Fog ofWar" and goodies space anomolies in the space map?
then some early space items like satellite and mars rover will actually add value to explore the space.

You are playing on Kation's not TPEHEP space map, so this discussion is in wrong thread :p
Fog of war always is here, unless you meant unexplored tiles, those are revealed with Satellites.

As for units you can use those on space terrains - some units give mission rewards.
There are space resources that kinda act as anomalies - they increase yields from tiles, but no improvement does anything with them and they doesn't give tradable resources unlike rest of map resources.
