None of the above!

Clue1: The game was a fiasco - a good example of an over hyped game being rushed out of the door.

Clue2: The game shares its engine with an absolute and ground breaking classic. And yes, it's true 3d!

Clue3: The publisher no longer exists (as far as i know), but it used to be among the most famous.

true 3d with a wellknown engine from a classic game....
So no Wolf, Doom or Duke....
Probably a game with the Quake engine (first 3d engine)....

Is it Hexen II?

I have Hexen 2, and it looks way better than that... Hexen 1, maybe?

 Nope... Raven and id are still around...

I know some engines prior to quake but I can't remember any games fitting the description.

I guess it could be the engine used in Tomb Raider since the texture distortions look a bit similar.

Tomme is correct, it is the Descent engine. The game in question was published by the same company that brought us Descent. It is also an AD&D game.

It is indeed! This stinker is in the same league of failures as Trespasser. Quite amazing that the same company that published all the Infinity Engine games, Descent and Fallout would let lose such a nightmare, but there you go.

Your turn, Kan! (And curses that it had to be you who got it, even though i'm pleased that it had you running a fair bit!)

I prefer to call it the Ultimate Gamers Duel. OF DOOM!

More and more people have started using box.net - am i responsable ? :run:

As for the question: no idea whatsoever.
