Video Memory...worried

128mb video card? Yuck, thats so 90's...

Nope. It's a laptop from 2006 that's designed for portability not to be a desktop replacement. I travel a lot for work and don't want to lug around a monster computer just to play Civ and if they make it that way I'll be sticking with Civ IV for a while.

Every time a new civ comes out it is doom and gloom about the requirements.

I doubt memory will be the issue. Most problems I have seen int he chatroom is people not having a gpu with needed shader support.
