Vista - Game Crashes

All,

I am using Vista 32bit with CIV IV Warlords 2.13. The game starts fine but once it gets to the play screen the game crashes. I have a Radeon 9800 with 8.4 drivers. Below is the error produced from Vista:

Can anyone provide any insight please?

you could try enabling logging maybe the game itself logs what happens.

open
my games\warlords\civilizationIV.ini and set all items with log in its name from 0 to 1
then start and crash the game and after that post all contents of
my games\warlords\logs
as a zip file here

unfortunately the log contains no hints as to what causes the crash - and the error report you posted above is equally uninformative
do scenarios work? does a custom game work?

i purchased civilization iv complete edition. all i can play is colonization. i have vista 64. and on colonization it doesnt recognize my sound card.

the game installed all four - you need to use the shortcuts it created - not the autoplay feature
