Vokarya's Workshop: Wonders

Yes, extra commerce on tundra could actually be useful. Ice is normally useless, even when near a river
For the Copernicus observatory, how about reducing the scientific % bonus it has but making all observatories give an extra 10% research? Alternative would!d be to give all science building a small culture bonus , if it is done already (I can't remember right now)

How about making some extra (weak) bonus to mountains in addition to another science bonus? Right now we have only Machu Pichu doing that and it's an observatory after all.

Honestly, Machu Pichu peaks are pretty OP, especially in some mapscripts (or if you've got a city near the Himalayas in Earth maps)

+1
I wouldn't mind it being toned down a bit.

Not really, considering it's a wonder that is very dependant on placement and timing. I think you should be rewarded for that.

Personally, I'd like machu picchu to give a person a free hidden tech, with said free tech allowing him to build a terrain feature via workers that increases mountain yields as much as it currently does. It'd not be an instant reward as it is now, but it'd be one that wouldn't be one-time only.

Also, going by that logic, snowcastle of kemi could do that free hidden tech thing, allowing a commerce-boosting ice improvement to be built.

Just giving my 2 cents.

That's quite a good idea!
Definitely less OP that current Machu Picchu (which I love, being fantastic in peak-rich maps), and, dare I say, more sensible than sudden "peaks are now fantastic tiles"

Too complex for my tastes. I will tone it down to only +1 hammer from peaks.

Well, the other solution is to port that sort of bonus (+yield in terrain/feature/peak) into the DLL, but that'd mean 45* would have much more work to do. While complex, it'd at least mean we wouldn't have to make a DLL feature that would be used for just a couple of wonders.

I hate python...

I was thinking about the great number of NW the mod have and it occur to me that maybe you could add a new category call national building. They will work exactly the same, only that not counting for the NW limit. This would be for buildings like the brewery or the fertilizer, that are only NW so that there isn't a overabundance of resources

That's part of the game right now. It forces you to keep expanding if you want to be able to do everything.

How about this for the missile defense project names?
  • Project #1: SDI (available with Networking)
  • Project #2: Anti-Ballistic Missiles (available with Artificial Intelligence)
  • Project #3: Anti-Ballistic Lasers (available with Quantum Computing)
  • Project #4: Nuclear Shield (available with Terra Computer) -- alternative could be Planetary Shield

Also, Final Frontier has an icon for Planetary Shielding that we are not currently using and I think would be a good icon to use for the last project. The Final Frontier atlas files are loaded as part of loading the base game, so we don't have to repack the FPK files.

I feel Nuclear Shield a bit misleading (shield powered by or consist of nuclear energy is the first thing I think of hear it). Planetary Shield OTOH I feel too wide; it's not Galactic Civilisation after all  How about Continental Shield or Barrier Shield?

Barrier Shield sounds good.

Planetary Shield would only really work if we had a space map, like Final Frontier or possibly C2C's multimaps. In AND, it wouldn't make much sense - especially if you're still sharing land on said planet :P

Does C2C has multimaps by now?

Does C2C has multimaps by now?

Some months ago I played on one; opening the WorldBuilder I could see Mars and the Moon 'maps' which I couldn't reach nor see naturally; though since I spawned on the edge of the Earth map I coooouuuld see some asteroids floating just beyond the egde of the map

Haven't been keeping up with C2C development though lately; not because it doesn't interest me, but because I'm too lazy to get it reinstalled again ^^;

I never did see if it was possible to actually reach the other maps though, since I never made it further than the Industrial in that game. Barbarians did spawn on both though, was amusing to see Warriors, Slingers, and animals all over on them :crazyeye:

No, of course not. The best they've managed is a lag-central map which includes Lunar/Martian terrain at the edges.
