IT: Khanbalik rax > archer. Monte, aka supergenius, in the suicidal volcano ploy, has situated his capital next to a volanco which erupts. Unfortunately for us, he throws enough virgins in prior to the eruption to survive.

2) 510: bump lux to 10%. 4/4 horse killed by 3/4 JW.

IT: Karakorum settler > settler. Samarkand horse >horse Bishbalik archer > archer. Balkh cat > cat. Monte building Temple of Artemis (won't the volcano god get angry?)

Note the Russian archer stack near Iron Port. I wasn't sure we're able to give anything for peace, so no diplomatic moves. Settler heading for game near Balasaghan. Building SoDs. Can start swords when Ulaanbator harbor comes in. I've been fighting defensively. IMHO, we need more workers and cats. I have no constructive suggestions on where to skim them until we get some peace.

I'll try to get a screenie up later.

Summary:We need to sign peace ASAP.And we can trade Currency for Lit and CoL with Russia if we can sign straight peace.We lack Construction and CoL for MA,And I'm afraid Celts and Egypt mastered 1st-tier tech in MA.

I've done two foolish things:
1.Revolt to Monarchy while we almost don't suffer from Tile Penalty
2.Pay Celts 35gpt,and they leave my territory!

Next player need to provoke Celts to gain our 35gpt.

Kill those junks to archieve peace,I've list them above.Almost no one sending Swords AND Horses together.

Revolting was fine, we need to be able to cash-rush (and we do suffer from tile penalty, mostly for commerce). And we can afford the payment anyway.
However, who razed our Gems city? And, was it autorazed, or deliberately burned to the ground? If the later, we must eliminate that Civ.
Very good to get the Celts out (though I could imagine they will be bought back); they're GAing...Pyramids. I think I wouldn't try to get them back to war. Better defend against Aztecs/Vikings/Hitties, make peace with Russia, and keep :hammer: Germany and maybe even Egypt; both are weaker than we are.
 
Musings of an almost complete idiot(99.44%):

1. Colony on the gems per DocT (which I screwed up)
2. Peace per DocT but include Cleo. In 20 we'll better set up to take them out.
3. Put Otto into OCC, keep the iron connected at all costs.
4. Settle the great white NW (ICS?) New cities do cats before rax.
5. Connect a second wine.
6. Fight defensively for now. We have too many enemies (I feel like R.M. Nixon, even paranoids have enemies...) to go on offensives. Build SoD to go after one. This is probably 20-40 turns in the future.
