Well, we're still alive (and there are 100 turns left in the game)!
Our bestest Girl had this to say (amongst other things during my 10 turns)
High points of my turns:
Turned research down to 0. We won't ever be rich enough to use Democracy to buy anything and the gold now can help us upgrade (or perhaps bribe an ally).
Promote units to Pinch for the +25 against gunpowder instead of the +20 city defense. Just slightly better.
I did some creative attacking out of cities into multi unit stacks to get promotions earlier. This did weaken our defenses momentarily, but bleeding Vicky AND promoting units helps in the long run.
Very suprising, but Fredrick actually built a railroad to Neapolis, so for a couple turns I had cows going to George for 8gpt. Happy days!
Cumae was about to fold (multiple cavalry against 2 archers), so I gifted it to Frederick. Too bad the same turn Vicky captured Satricum.
In 1946, Cyrus gifted us Astronomy. Woo Hoo!
In 1948, Rome revolted. Too bad its not allowed to flip back EVAR.
Vicky is coming hard for Neapolis. I fended off her first wave with no loses, but another stack is on its way. We may (if the RNG blesses us) be able to hold off that stack as well.

Where we're at:
Mansa is darn close...
Our people live a real long time and love us...
Our "mighty" empire:
To spite Vicky, think about gifting to Gahndi or Fred the turn before a city falls to her. Your units remain there, but at least she doesn't get the capturing gold bonus AND another civ gets the city and surrounding areas. Its all about spite baby!
