Look at the votes, we only managed to hammer 1 vote off Monty, whereas HC grow by 6 votes!!! (and total votes go up by 7).

We/I hammered nothing. I think the loss of the vote is due to others growing and monty not growing (as much) thus causing him to go down in votes....

Yeh that is a surprise but you set him up good with all those troops there. We should be able to take out those two cities rather easily with that bunch. Just keep our fingers crossed, that JC keeps voting for us in diplomatic victory. Geez that's frustrating just being off by a few votes. It's like that 1% off in domination.

Well, I didn't get a chance to play last night, but I took a look at the save.

We have a lot of troops but not that much transports. I will try to capture and hold the city, but if I don't have too much troops then I'll just raze.

If I'm thinking correctly the next election for secretary general would be 1904? 4 turns afte the 1896 try for diplomatic victory? Then we would have 4 more turns after that so 1912? If that's the case I'll try to squeak out growth in most of our cities before then.

Well, I'm home now, but I got roped into some more moving (my folks are moving into a new home, so there's tons of stuff to be done...) - so basically, I'm have a 24ish hour window to play and then I'll be gone for the rest of the week until the weekend.

Sorry for all the hassle, I didn't really know this was going to happen until yesterday night...

A note for the VQ-series games: eektor is up for both of my skips. If you want me to grab either of both of those games eek, just ask!

I would just raze everything in sight... There is no way we can take and HOLD those cities IMHO. Have you seen the stack of units he has in his other cities??? I guess I forget to post some screenies of that...

It was big... Didnt even fit the list... tho they are outdated, enough will kill a tank...
Just pick up some tanks drop 'em and raze 'em... Well thats what I would do... I think cities in resistance dont count for votes anyway....

We won on the last turn of my turnset
I got another chance on the 1st turn of my turnset and didn't get enough votes. Then I had to wait for the vote for Secretary General and then on turn 9 I went for the diplomatic victory.

Yeh the PA actually won it for us so it would be a challenge indeed to see if we could on Emperor without PA.......

It's easy... just put "spoiler" and "/spoiler" in square brackets, and whatever you want in the middle.
