Want to get Windows 10?

And as a bonus, none of the broken DRM stuff is limited to Win10 anyway, MS has patched issued a security patch for Win 7/8: MS15-097

In addition to the changes that are listed for the vulnerabilities that are described in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS15-097, this security bulletin addresses a defense-in-depth update for the secdrv.sys driver, a third-party driver. The update turns off the service for the secdrv.sys driver. This may affect the ability to run some older games.

Sooo.... For the sake of giving Win10 a whirl (looks like I've ignored 8 long enough), any particular praises or gripes, while I push a new little work laptop (wiped/reinstalled 13-inch mac-esque job that some salesman ended up casting off) from 8.1 to 10?

If you are planning on getting any kind of touchscreen and/or stylus, make sure that the company that made the laptop has updated the drivers for the touchscreen and stylus to work in Windows 10. That was a source of endless frustration when I switched to 10. The other problems with MS Office and OneNote that I had have been patched.

Other than the above, it's great.
