Warhammer Fantasy Mod 2.1

Hi there, i just downloaded the mod and all the patches and 2.1 etc, but i have a problem. When I load WH 2.1 or WH2.1a, it loads to about half way then tells me that it can't find art/adviser/Karl_Franz and that is has to quit.

Welcome to CFC! :wavey:
Did you install 2.0 and 2.02 first? Did you install 2.1 in the right folder? It's supposed to go in the basic Civilization 3 folder.
Do you have conquests, or civ 3 gold? I think there may be some problems with gold...
BTW, there was some problem with the data base, so Thunderfall had to reconstruct this thread in some way, that's probably why your post disappeared, Stormrage. :)

Thunderfall had to reconstruct this thread in some way

My god! He can remember 34 pages of posts and then dedicate 10 hours of his time to hack into our users and reposts every thing we said! He is GENIUS!

P.S. sorry I had a lot of caffeine today...
P.P.S. ...and sugar.
P.P.P.S. Only 6 spelling mistakes in this one!

From Missing post and Chaos, I have a question for you animators and people with video experience.

I wonder: Is it an easy way to put on a filter on the .flc movies to change a specific colour, e.g change the skincolour from red to green etc.

I have Adobe After effects so perhaps I could use this?

Hehe, Frosty, I love your new avatar! I wish I could give my Berserker a Santa hat...
People! Discuss something! Or else.... I`ll start with the bear issue again :p

Do you guys recive instant notification in your e-mail about new posts? I accidently deleted the ones I recived (had a killer hangover) but I`m pretty sure I saw a glimpse of some other posts after my missing one...

Ok, it would be great if we could get rid of those AoK/E conversions, but I`ve dug up these, and they are not all that bad... Actually the elephant is really cool.

Cavalry archer for Kislev?
Another elephant for Ind? There are like 5, 6 elephant units available? Not neccesarily this one, then.
Amazon beast mistress has a lion... Does anyone else think this is a bit weird? I know its a fantasy world, but still... Lions in the New world? Maybe this jaguar would work?

Thanks Stormrage.
Here is your Berserker Santa :)

I don`t understand your post... I understand a sledge is what santa rides, you`ve lost me on "not a bike right"...
My post was: can a sledge (eng) be called a sled (yank), like a bicycle can be called a bike...

And this has gone waaaay off topic :)
People! Where are you?

Actually, in the US we say that Santa rides in a sleigh.

Hope this goes right, my first post and all ... I am running C3C v1.22. I just downloaded my first Mod (yes, I know I am a few years behind the times, but fun is fun, right?), the Warhammer series of mods: 2.0; 2.02; 2.11; 2.17; and 2.18. I loaded the first three to: "C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization III". The last two (2.17 and 2.18) I extracted (using Windows extraction tool) to two other places, because it didn't work after I did the first one: "C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization III"; "C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization III\Scenarios"; and "C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization III\Conquests\Scenarios". I selected "Yes to All".

When I run the WH game (Civ-Content:WH2.1a.big), it starts fine. However, when I click on the tech tree I get: "File Not Found art\civilopedia\icons\units\x_siegecivpediasm.pcx" and the icons are x'ed out boxes (if that makes sense). I also have map options WH2.1.big and WH2.big, but my understanding is that those are for the earlier mods.

Please help me to understand what I did wrong and what I need to do to correct this.

Hi there arieswanderer, welocme to CFC :wavey:
"C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization III\Scenarios";
This one seems wrong, the instructions may have been wrong, but when we talk about the Scenarios folder we always mean the Conquests/Scenarios folder, as the vanilla one is useless (and the wrong place for this mod, of course).
The last two (i e 17 and 18) should be extracted to "C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization III\Conquests".

Patch news; I've added about half the content of 2.19...
