Warhammer Fantasy Mod 2.1

Well.
An option would be (and this would also reduce the amount of Ogres Only -forces):
- make ogres spawned from a building that requires the ogre resource inside city.
- give that building a ridiculous pay demand :D (like 110 gold or something like that :) )
- if this would happen, then we would be able to make the ogres very very very very strong (well, stronger than they are now).

But this is only hypotethically speaking - I doubt that this will happen with WH-mod

It's been a while since I played that mod, but I remembered that a the end, my dwarvian civilisation was completely defended by Ogres forces. I fully aggree with you on this.

Or, would it be feasible (sp?) to make the Ogre resource have a high disappearance rate, to illustrate the way they roam around, looking for fights.

so you might only have time to build two or three ogres before the "Ogres move off" ie, resource disappears

but this conversation really should be moved to the discussion thread, i think

I must say, great game. I never played the warhammer game(im a vtes player), but watched it played many times. My only problem, and its a big problem, is that sometime in the game i get a "missing file:art/units/norman knight.ini" and the game crashes, then exits, which occurs when I am deep in the game. Quite annoying. Help!:(

Hi I reinstalled Civ 3 with Conquests expansion and patched it to Conquests 1.22. I dled all the files in the first post (it's a bit confusing actually...) and installed them. I can't open the game because I get this error:

Can anyone tell me what I did wrong?

They are posted in a confusing order now that I look at it.. 2.11, 2.20, 2.19, 2.0, 2.02?????

Just use logic and follow the numbers

2.0
2.02
2.11
2.19
2.20

Also, 2.0 (and maybe 2.02) will install incorrectly in my version if I just keep clicking on without reading, and not tell it to install in the Conquests/Scenarios folder. Mrtn? Are you familiar with this problem?

Good idea. ;)

IIRC 2.11 defaults to a bad folder (C:\Games or something like that).

Could be. I know it was one or two of them ;) Or was it all of them? :hmm:

I forgot, did you decide what the format will the 2.5 come out? As only 2.5 (50 MB)? Will you re-release the mod itself too? You know, as another version of 2.5 containing EVERYTHING (mucho megs)? If you are, you should prolly wait till 2.7 cos of bugs :)

Hey, guys. I was just playing a game as Albion, and found out that Highlanders couldn't upgrade to Foot Knights. The reason, I found out, is because Highlanders don't have the upgrade flag checked. I fixed this in my version, but you might want to take note of this for the official version.

Well I just assumed you would dl the 2.11 file and it would be fine (since so large anyway)! Maybe the first post should be edited to state that you must dl all the files?

btw it's the 2.11 patch that has the wrong default install pathway.

There isn't a 2.19 patch - is this it:
"EDIT: If you didn't install 2.19 you need this one too:
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads11...0resources.zip
Unzip to C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization III"

Well, thats what the mod threads are for! That, and posts like "OMG, this is so kewl!!" :D

We have a different thread to discuss the changes and features of the mod. But we`ll see, if the Trio wants a new thread, I wouldn`t mind one, the Discussion thread is the one thats important to me :)

Is there a post somewhere around with a list of all the extra maps/scenarios people have made for this mod? Or could someone link me to them? I found a couple, but I was wondering in particular if there was a map of the main part of the Warhammer world - Old World + shores of Lustria/Naggaroth - for 2.20, only one I found for 2.20 was of the entire world w/ the main sections a little small.

2.20 only has that one. You`ll have to wait a bit for 2.5, Scytale will update his old and make some new maps then :)

Also, for WH maps and scens you should go to the Maps or Scenario sub-forums and do a search. Search button is on the top left quarter of the screen.

And welcome to CFC! :wavey:
