Gandhi and Montezuma have been explicitly referenced by Ed Beach in earlier articles; Firaxis may not be formally officially confirming them, but they have been referenced by official sources.

Fair enough. Albeit, the thread here has France and England listed as well. The Reddit Mega Thread has Greece and Rome. So, is that more unofficial official citations too? I mean Ed talks about Genghis, so does that imply the Mongols are back too?

NOTE: Not trying to pick a fight here, but I would like to know where he says without a doubt Gandhi is back. The same interview he mentions Genghis, but his followup statement on Gandhi is not exactly a "confirmation" either. If I recall correctly, when specifically asked about him during a different interview (Rooster Teeth perhaps?) he seemed reluctant to give a definitive answer.

Gandhi I can very easily answer. even if we shouldn't be discussing this as this isn't a discussion thread.

Anyway

Interviewer - (when asking about Historical Agendas) "Does this mean that Gandhi will still have a nuke heavy agenda?"

Ed/Dennis - "Well, no, but we've made sure that he's still got that twist in-game"

Basically confirming that Gandhi is in the game.

While it's not a word-for-word transcript, the essence was the same. They admited that Gandhi retains his nuke-heavy injoke in one of the early interviews, therefore confirming that India and Gandhi are in.
