And maybe utahjazz's celtic warrior can replace the swordman he might be a little to different looking though

Yeah, I think I could do that. Utahjazz7 has uploaded a couple of cape props for poser that'll probably work. I'm already making a two-handed weapon unit (not fun for poser), I might as well pile on the extra work of a cape too. :rolleyes: :) Aaglo, do you have a good fur texture that I could use, if that's possible between pov-ray and poser?

I've already planned on adding a chain skirt and side plates to the legs to fill out the unit a bit more. I'll also lengthen the halberd a bit more. I'll keep the horns on the helmet as is. The horns originally pointed up, but I played around with the model quite a bit to get them pointing forward. One of the halberdiers in the concept art had them that way and I liked them, plus I don't want to just throw away that work. :)

I colored the buffalo skulls (one of my favorite parts of the unit :) ) on the shinguards red because that's the way they were pictured in the concept art. I haven't worked out all the coloring (adding civ-color & highlighting detail) yet, but I'm sure they'll probably end up civ-color unless it's decided otherwise by the group.

If a Chaos Halberdier unit is made, of course it should and I'm sure will, be included. That swordsman might go for Tilea, can't remember if they've had their swordsman unit changed since I played so long ago. Plus I think a Dromon might be nice for the Dwarfs, simply because I've gotten so tired of seeing them build a hundred War Galleys every game... but it might not be suited. Technically, the Dwarfs shouldn't get any ship made of wood, as they never ever used wooden ships. Which, of course makes no sense, but never mind...

However, as Stormrage warned you, get used to being told "no" a lot. :)
The viking is even less fitting than utahjazz7's european. The celt doesn't fit the old world civs at all. (@Mr. Do: I disagree, Tilea isn't very Celtic. ;))
The Dromon could maybe work, we'll see.
Don't feel discouraged, though, if that's possible. ;)

Cam, a coat with a big fur trim would be great. :D I wouldn't mind quite much civ colouring on the unit, chaos warriors worshipping different chaos gods can look quite different. A longer halberd would be good too, so you can clearly discern if from an axe. And it would be nice if you gave it two attacks; one chopping, and one shopping er... stabbing.
Yes, I can be quite picky, it's a wonder aaglo hasn't strangled me yet. Must be my winning personality, and good looking legs. ;)
But, you're the boss, you make the unit as you please. :)
 
I like the minoan galley because it is very simple looking and based on what mr do said the dwarfs never use wodden ships so u would think the only ships dwarfs would use would be a ship that just gets the job done, I vote for it

(and the axe is a nice touch)

Here's an update with a cape, chain for the legs, and longer halberdier (could still make it bigger if necessary). I also put a size comparison at the bottom at 140 (normal), 150, and 160 next to the warrior. Of course the warrior is in a default stance and the halberdier is hunched down in more of a fortified stance, but it can still give you an idea. Let me know what you think about the size, which one is best or if I should even go bigger. Also, I just left the cape blue because I don't have a good fur texture yet. Don't worry, it's only temporary. :)
 
Yes the largest works well... though the colour of the cloak... Blue? Hmm interesting...

Oh wait im being stupid... it changes depending on what colour the civ is right? Man i can be stupid sometimes.
 
@Cam, I prefer the middle size, but I'd also would like to see a comparison with embryodeads chaos warrior, I wouldn't like it to be substantially larger than that.
Also, you know that it's only the shoulder bit of the cape that's fur, right? Not the whole cape. So if you can't get that, no fur is better than all civ coloured fur.

@Stormrage: No. :p Don't drag kai down with you on that fools errand. :nono:
