What can you do against the government when

- Doesn't respect institutions and modern ideas.
- It's concentrating too much power.
- It's full of ignorant clowns with the wrong ideas.
- It divides society into the good and those who think different.
- It's reforming the penal law to have less penalties for murders and rapers, thus promoting crime.
- They say oral rape is not a crime.
- It's peronist.
- It's the opposite to what the world thinks on every matter.
- Its models are Chavez, Morales and populists.
- Promote Nationalization of enterprises.
- They're a mix between marxism, peronism, fascism and the theory of dependence.
Our people is so stupid for ****s sake.
They're gonna win next elections by promising favours for certain groups of people.

What can you do when even the people who supposedly aren't so ignorant even support them.

This is about what's happening in a terrible place as Argentina.
 
Unsure, I have never had any experience with such a situation (appart from reading "House of Spirits" by Isabella Allende).
 
Seems to me you're not very open to stuff either Sebby..

And about nationalisation. It doesn't have to be a bad thing. If Venezuela and Bolivia can set up an industry through that and effectively impliment a political policy of importsubstitution, it just might be worth is don't you think? All on the basics of your fellow countryman, Raúl Prebisch. ;)

Honestly, it sounds a LOT like whats going on in the US only no one here seems to notice. The only answer I can think of is to try to vote out every one who is in office right now. If all the incumbents get voted out perhaps the newly elected will get the message. I'm honestly hoping for something like this in the US.

The problem, at least, with US government, is there should NOT be politicians. I think running for office should be more of a calling than a job, not unlike clergy, but not a life long commitment. Politicians have TO much power and make TO much money to be effective.
 
I don't envy the Argentinian government; it has a veritable Augias stable to clean up after the mismanagement of the free market junkies.
But in general, if one is discontent with a government, an option is always to work for getting another one elected.

Oral rape is not a crime? Wow, that's f-ed up! (I'd say "that sucks" but that would be in poor taste for such a serious matter)

The US political spectrum is very far from containing any such political stance. It's cute but a bit too irresponsible for North American standards.

What to do ? Answer is Democracy :)

Oh, and you have the right to leave btw. To some cynical extent, you can consider nations as a menu, you take what you like : a bit of your passion for Argentina, Italy as your summer playground, Luxembourg for your accounts, Bahamas for your home, India for your business. :)
