What Didn't You Accomplish This Summer?

Let's face it... Most of us began the summer season with the illusion that we would be able to accomplish everything we wanted. A select few might have managed, but the majority of us have NOT.

So before the fall season hits and we all sink deeper into remorse, take this opportunity to confess what you wanted to do, and what you actually did.


I, for one, was looking forward to doing a lot of reading, notably the book Stalin's Folly. Alas, for most of the summer I was so hard at work with yard projects and scattered volunteer services that I barely had time to sleep. I did manage to read a couple of Terry Pratchett novels, which made up for a lot.

I had meant to read Adam Smith's Wealth of Nations and Theory of Moral Sentiments. That goal has been postponed to December.

But on the whole, I got done about 90% of what I needed to this summer.

I carried 6 hours this past summer. That's not a summer; it's a continuation of the spring semester.

I wanted to enjoy my summer vacation doing my regularly-scheduled summer assignments and going to the movies several times with friends.

I actually spent it moving across the state and doing A LOT more summer assignments for this new school I go to now.

Getting laid would have been nice.

Also, due to car difficulties (Brother can't watch for brake lights ) coupled with the fact that I live in the goddamn boonies I haven't really been able to work steadily and at least make some real money, though odd jobs have brought in some pocket change.

Ahh well, it's been fun anyway. Lots of hanging out with friends, lots of good times. Looking forward to college in about 3 weeks.

Summer reading....

to be fair i didnt realise i had any till like a few days ago.

Other than that not much, i got laid, had a girlfriend, lost that 10 pounds.

But if that's all I have to lament, I guess that says it was a decent summer.

Worked too much.
Partied too little.
The biggest party I went to, which was supposed to have all these wonderful drinks and a certain plant, well, by the time I got there, it was consumed, and a sober man amongst tired, laughing-at-I-don't-know-what is not a happy man, at least not on that day. . Ah well, had some fun other nights, even made it to the shore once, and had a relaxing vaca as well.

Also, I didnt get much of a tan. Im pale compared to most people. Compared to me, I'm around well done. I dont burn. I dont tan. I just get less pale. which is where i am right now.
