I was wondering what the numbers beside a Civ's name on the bottom right of the main screen represent.

If I'm playing Germany as an example I see in the box:

Germany 5.0.3 or Germany 6.2.1.

These numbers change over time. I can't find a description in the manual, and believe me, I've looked.

Anyone know?

Thanks

Fraction of income to science, luxuries and income? ......But why don't they then add to 10????

The numbers I used were only examples. I was at work when I posted the message, so I didn't have the game running to see if they do add up to 10.

ANYBODY???? Plz!

OK, here's the numbers. Say you have a horseman highlighted, and the numbers you see are 5.5.1/2.

What that means is 50% to science, 50% to happiness, and the 1/2 means your warrior has 1 movement point left of his 2 movement.

What?? Unless I'm thinking of some different numbers, those are the unit stats you're referring to.

Further: Yeah, those are the \$\$/Science/Lux ratio I believe

Ooops, my bad. OK, yeah, if you see "Chinese Democracy (2.5.3)" that means 20% to science, 50% to happiness and 20% unused. Those 3 numbers should always total 10, yes.

The Pachyderm is correct on both counts. Two different sets of numbers are being referred to.
