Have you seen the new James Bond, Casino Royale? What do you think of it? Did you like the story line? Do you like Daniel Craig as James Bond?

poll coming.

How could Bond fall in love?!?!??! Thats not cool. NOT COOL:thumbdown:. Us ordinary people fall in love but James Bond was not an ordinary person.

Well, he was married once...

Not was, maybe "will be", but unlikely anymore. Casino Royale is supposed to be before all of the other adventures.

It's all in the novel. It's part of Bond's persona to have been burnt badly once, which is where he got the cold demeanor of never risking being burnt again.

It could be worse. Bond could lose his penis, at which point he is effectively dead.

Bond was also previously married in On Her Magesty's Secret Service. Don't blame the screenplay writers, blame Fleming! :p

I liked it, it was a lot better than the previous films under Brosnan.

I'm not a big Bond fan, but this movie was ok.

I consider it more of a rehash than a prequel. It has Judi Dench after all, and is set in the present. Its quite obvious where the novel starts (I don't recall the freerunner... :hmm: ), but they do expand on it quite well. I hoping for a return of Blofeld next movie :D.

Idem.
Lazenby got married.
This James Bond is very different from the others. But you guys need to understand it's a reboot in the story (not in the timeline, JB is always connected to the era the film is produced in), kind of like the star wars 1,2,3 :mischief: .
They had to explain what makes James Bond (Sean Connery's interpretation mostly) what he is. The film is about his construction whereas he's constant in most other movies.
He's not the same at the end of the film. I really liked that.
Besides, they also humanized the guy a bit (despite the fact the actor sometimes looks like a machine).

IMO : the best modern James Bond (Dalton + Brosnan, and I'd add some of Moore...)

I'm merely saying that, contrary to Trajan's comments, James Bond falling in love is not unprecedented.

Where is the "I have not seen this movie" button? :hmm:

Tis worth seeing. I enjoyed it and thought this is now a more interesting Bond, more true to the books.

Also, its started my flatmates desires to play poker :) which is nice :)

Blonde Bond, what the freakin hell, he's not suave or sophisticated either. He's a bloody gorilla. I want ORIGANAL BOND!! The likes of Sean Conery, or Roger Moore, or Pierce Brosnan.

I saw it a while back and it was much better than I thought. However, it's true what is said above.... Bond does NOT fall in love. That was a big :nono:. The new Bond character was no better or worse than Brosnan's rendering, but it still left much to be desired. Daniel Craig's Bond left a LOT of panache to be desired.
