I just downloaded caveman2cosmos again and loaded my save game and to my surprise, apparently c2c has been updated but when It asked if my values or whatever should be recalculated I l clicked yes and after that my game frose for a bit with a Leonidas unit error (Leonidas was removed) and game froze so I shut it down. I started it up again and chose no instaid of recalculating then was able to get in my game. after about two turns unit's that I wanted to build were not available and were replaced with stone age units instaid. also red messages appeared on my screen removing a chunk of my buildings from my cities. also my game crashed after I received a message that said to lower my graphic settings. whats going on. what do I need to do to fix all this and get my save game back to normal?

It seems that your original version was way too old and is no longer compatible. I recommend starting a new game.

I don' think that is the case, it's version 32 or 33 but the version I downloaded before beginning that saved game for the first time was v28 so it can't be that old. what do I need to do to fix it?

How about being more Patient when you do the Re-Calc. A game started with version 28 to get updated to version 33 by Re-Calc will take some time to do. It most likely did Not freeze but was converting major ammounts of xml and other data.

And a game 6 versions old will have multiple AI Civ changes as SO keeps changing the leaders and Civs for almost every version.

You need more patience.
