What happened to the Civilization song?

Do you mean the civilization fan song?
When you have heard it a thousand times it get to be annoying instead of charming.

Or do you mean the Baba Yetu original civIV theme song?

What about "Fish Heads" guys? The most awe inspiring song ever? "Fish heads, fish heads, rolly polly fish heads, fish heads, fish heads, eat them up, yum!" Either that or Orgasmatron my Motorhead.

One quite minor part of my upcoming music project (which given current pace should be ready sometime in the last quarter of this year) is providing a panoply of songs for the title theme, but (much like how my other project depends on getting AIAndy's automatic addition thing to add tracks to eras back, and extending it to new eras) that will depend on getting the rotating song feature back. Its nothing too fancy, just;
  • Baba Yetu
  • The Beyond the Sword Title Theme
  • This video from the sadly-MIA Mr. Azure, converted to mp3 format
  • The Brentalfloss "What If Civilization Had Lyrics?" song (which I think is the one you're referring to. Like DancingHoskuld, I thought it was fine as a rotating song, but annoying as the only show in town. (part of this is that I strongly prefer my video game music to not have discernable vocals, which partly ties in to my general preference for music as a major component of the atmosphere of a body of media; my tastes in music are extremely eclectic but I have particular fondness for ambient, dark ambient and soundtrack/score)
  • An audio converted version of the vanilla Civ IV intro (not the Warlords or BTS one); if I had to pick a single title theme for use in C2C this would be it, and indeed that's what I've most recently done.
  • The Civilization V Theme (Which might not be in the public release for copyright reasons)
  • Mp3-conversions of YouTube uploads of the intros to Call to Power and Call to Power II (the second game in particular is an underrated treasure I've long intended to start a whole new thread about; it is simply astonishing how far ahead of its time it was. It has features we, the modding community of the most modded Civ game after more than a decade and massively layered increases in content through Rise of Mankind/:A New Dawn and C2C don't have, like subliminal advertising blimps, underwater and what seems to be low-earth-orbit layers, mind-controlling televangelists, and an amazing soundtrack to boot)
  • The Warlords theme (which, amusingly enough, is a manly love song in Lebanese)
I'll probably add Sogno di Volare at some point (which, given its publicly viewable on Christopher Tin's YouTube channel, shouldn't pose any copyright issue; for that matter, the official Civ VI channel has upload a lot of the game's soundtrack, something me and my partner will be going through after I've combed my Steam catalogue).

this should totally be the main Civ IV song :p
:lol: The problem with humorous songs is once the humor wears off, which is quick, it's just annoying. That said... this is pretty funny.

What we need is more variety in songs per age in game. Considering that C2C is longer than normal civ IV mods, it would be nice that music doesn't become so repetitive do fast
