Windows XP Pro

Built it about 3 and bit years ago, and is still going somehow (GFX Card is newer). Was going to build a new one, but Vista just keeps scaring me too much.

Desktop (Windows 2000): Pentium Dual Core 1.8GHz (E2160); 1GB RAM (I'm only running W2K, so it's plenty); Nvidia 256MB 8600GT (also onboard crappy VIA gfx); 500GB SATA and 80GB PATA hard disks; 16x DVD Writer; CD-ROM (I did have a DVD-ROM but it died, and no point in replacing); on board ethernet and sound; 20" W flatscreen monitor; floppy drive that isn't plugged in.

Laptop (Windows XP): Core Duo 1.6GHz (T2050); 1GB RAM; Intel GMA 950 chipset; 80GB hard disk; 8x DVD Writer; 14" W.

Doorstop (Windows 2000): K6-2 450MHz; 128MB RAM; 16MB Voodoo Banshee (also have a spare 128MB Radeon 9800, but it's rather unstable on this machine, possibly because the motherboard is so old); 8GB hard disk; 4x CD Writer; ethernet and sound cards.

This thread would be a lot more effective, and our different systems easier to compare if we all benchmarked them. What about using Passmark Performance Test? It's a 30 day trial, enough to run all the tests and submit your baseline here. Then you can uninstall it.

Anyhow, my budget laptop:
2.2GHz T7500 Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB DDRII RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon HD2600 with 256MB DDRIII VRAM and 768 MB Hyper-memory (?), 200GB Toshiba HD, 15.4" widescreen, 4 USB ports, HD DVD drive (pretty useless now I guess!) / DVD+-RW, and Vista Premium 32 bit (woohoo!).
